It might only be an ice cold Coors Light on this hot summer night, but I've got the most delicious medium rare ribeye to go with it.

Red Tail Ale, Abita Beer Amber, Yeungling Lager? I'm not familiar with any of them, but they sound good. Better than my beer at least.

We have a new brewery here in Nashvegas called Yazoo Brewery. High quality, authentic styles. A perfect wheat (served only at a local pizza joint), mexican style, a hoppy IPA, and an interesting stout. No wammies at all.

Oh man! I picked up a big old bottle of this Uniboue stuff from Quebec. It was the 2004 Edition and came in a corked bottle. It was soooo good even at $10.99 a bottle (and 10.9%!)! Viva la Quebec! I also picked up a big bottle of Chemey Special Reserve that comes in the same kind of corked bottle. Them Belgium monks know how to brew! And to top it off I finally got some Sierra Nevada; six of porter and six of stout. Yummie!

After the bottle of Uniboue and four porters, and a midnight run to Taco Bell I woke up yesterday morning with a hangover and mud butt. “)

I ran a little taste test last week between Beamish and Guinness. Duelling Stouts! A quick gargle with soda water to clear the palate and the game was afoot ---

"Hey, that Beamish was pretty tasty, let's try that Guinness!"

"Hey, that Guinness was pretty tasty, let's try that Beamish!"

Eventually I ran out of soda.

mtnmom- do you ever go to the Great Northern? I haven't been there since they moved from the old depot. I used to raelly like their beer! I don't remember the food much, but the beer was good.
