Oh, Buddur dear, where can I find that chocolate stout?

Oh, it's beer alright. Beer is an overall term. There is mainly two types of "beer".
Ale, a top-fermented beer, usually enjoyed at a higher temperature, and lager, a bottom fermented beer conducive to colder temperatures for proper enjoyment.
However, this has been stated many times on this board.
Enjoy.

Portland Brewing Company ships their Chocolate Stout all over the country, Ruby. It shouldn't be too hard to find.

Pilsner Urquell -- Ahh, it's good to have beer in a nearby refrigerator; something that trail campsites are in dire need of...

Pilsner Urquell???????

PS: Have you forsaken the mighty PBR?

Doom: I'll have to search online for it. I have tried a number of chocolate stouts, but for some reason the Young's really was my favorite.

Well, Young's will probably still beat Portland Brewing Company. They are a good brewery, but not a great brewery, IMHO.
Pilsner Urquell. You can never go wrong with the original Pilsner.

Had some good stuff last night from a brewery in Cooperstown, NY. It was brewed Belgium style so it was fruity and sweet but it still had that bite right at the end of the swallow but no bitter aftertaste. Came in the traditional champagne bottle. Great stuff! 8.5% too so I slept like a baby last night. :)

Geex! What a tough crowd we have here in this forum. You Democrats take words so literally that I'll bet when you hear the phrase "Pork-Barrel Spending" you actually think theres a pig and barrel involved.

“Hey, what's this about well-balanced beer? Sometimes a person wants...
The range between these two is vast, but don't think that you have to drink "well-balanced" to be a connesieur.
Glad to see GW is well-versed on his fermentation process, though.”

What part of my statement "...there is a wide spectrum of sweet to bitter beers having the well-balanced beers somewhere in between." didn't you understand?

I'm going back to drinking Jim Beam where those drinkers aren't New England-ish and so darn picky about how words are phrased.

After leaving REI, we picked up a mixed case of Flying Dog. I had an Old Scratch amber ale which I thought was a well balanced tasty bottle.
Next is gonna be the pale ale, whatever it's called.

Yuengling (Pride of Pennsylvania) is the official beer of our card night, which we had tonight. So we downed a case between 4 of us. I know it's not much, but we broke out some Cabernet Sauvignon too (I know, how un-poker-like!), but desperate times call for desperate measures -- stupid NJ blue laws...)

But hey, I won 4 bucks...

Has anyone had that German Wiestermier or whatever? it's a pretty common beer. I don't much care for German beer but was wondering how this one tastes?

To our beloved Cousins to the South
BEER SEASON IS OVER!

Ya see, beer freezes.

Beer is now reserved for the end of the day in front of the fire at The Cottage in Lake Placid of at my beloved village pub.

Newcastle Bronw Ale for me. Otherwise Rickard's honey brown ale (made by Molson which proves that Canadian breweries are capable of brewing good beer and the p!$$ they were making they were makinhg on purpose).

I’m so tired from the weekend, had a crappy morning at work. I’m telling the world to go to hell, it’s 9:30AM and I’m sipping a Miller Genuine Crap and planning on a day of Grand Tourismo 3 and not much else. OK, I may pause the game long enough to go to the bathroom.
