“Car camping and no beer. What kind of heretic are you?”

My buddy Mike is a friend of Al.

Since the Molson-Coors merger, Coors light seems to be the sponsor drink for rugby clubs. Unfortunately it is the only beer (to my knowledge) that I cannot swallow. Bass is good, but it gives me a headache.

Newkie Brown is still the ultimate beer, but Rickard's (by Molson) seems to me the best North American brew - both Honey Brown and IPA.

When driving back from FYAO I bought a Miller brown ale that was actually quite good.

Not right now, but last night I had one of the bestest beers ever.

Unibroue's 15th anniversary Ale on Lees. It was delicious. $6.99 for a bottle but worth every penny.

It gave Birch heartburn (extra bubbles like their other stuff), so I had to have it all, darn-it. =)

It's not girlie beer! I believe the Canadians make it. I sure hope Gremlin never finds out you've been refering to Canadians as girlie, MarkO.

It's actually quite good beer, triple fermented and a nice high alc content.

The stuff I had is special, for their aniversary. It tasted special.

Tonight I'm back to whatever swill Birch picked off the shelf at the grocery store.

It's okay Gremlin, MarkO wasn't calling Canadians Girlie, just Pennsy.

I just had my first skunked beer. A Sierra Nevada pale ale. Wow, that was foul. Listerine isn't getting rid of the flavor, either. I taste it every time I exhale. Ugh.

Mmm, beer.

This one's a nice mellow amber with a little honey and rose hips added, for a bit of tanginess to it. It goes well with Indian cuisine.

I found an upscale grocery store here in Ohio that sells Bell's Two Hearted Ale! Bell's is a micro from Michigan and I first had it at a wedding where I, how shall we say?, over indulged in it. It was about $8 a six pack but well worth it.

Two hearted? Hmm.

This was Honey Amber Rose, and it turns out it's nade in Melbourne Florida, down by NS.

I also got some Woodchuck pear hard cider. Currahee gave some of that once, and I haven't forgotten how tasty it was.

I found out that Saranac just released Imperial India Pale Ale. I may have to pick up a six-pack before the week is through. At 8.5% ABV, be ready for some interesting lumberzac posts the night I do my sampling.
