I use the pot scrubber that I clean my dishes with.

Is that a guy thing or just me?

I didn't know you could use a pot scrubber on paper plates ;-)

I don't clean them at all. They will just get muddy again.

I just bang them together, once or twice, before church.

You hike as often as you attend services.

Well, OK. Also, I bang them together outside the tent or away from the bedroll under the tarp, before I use them as a pillow.

Does a person hike better in clean boots? Would frequently cleaning help me to hike faster? "Rrillo" pads may have a new customer.

Bacpac just wants to know if it's ok to change his name to prissyhiker. I hear he primps too much as it is......

Boots caked with large masses of wet mud get really heavy and slow me down.

Then I try and find a glacial stream to rinse them off!

I clean my boots after every trip. Nixwax, Kiwi polish, or just a rinse.

My boots are my most pampered gear.

Ha, you're right. Especially when I remove them to get money out for the collection plate. My 48 year old wool socks have holes in them. LOL.

I've only washed my boots once. That was after my first trip up the Bradley Pond trail (AKA The Gauntlet). I had to use a hose on them just to soften the caked on mud so I could untie the laces. Normally if my boots get muddy I just knock them together a few times after they dry.

So, prissyhiker, how do you clean the insides of your boots? I'll bet the insides need more cleaning than the outsides!

Do you wear polish on your toenails, too?

Trail runners don't need cleaning . . . you must be talking about those foot weights some people still wear.

I have some Magna-Dryz insoles that will be sent back also.

If it works I endorse it. If it is a cheap whore of a product I send it back.

Silly, Sunny. This is winter time. Why waste money on a pedicure when it can't be seen? I'm sure he just goes with the bikini wax and calls it a night.
