I'm happy to have Survivor back. Too bad for Tina but she did have a big target on her behind. I kinda thought Rupert would agree to get rid of one of the worthless girls because he hates loosing so much.

Survivor I is the only one I missed so I had mostly just heard about Richard. What a pain in the butt. How quick before his team mates throw a challenge so they can get rid of him?”

I always hated "Star Search", because the premise of the show was that we actually needed more "stars"...”

“I think Tina got a cool $100,000 for being voted off first. Don't know what the others will get, but two days in the mosquito-ridden jungle without food or water is not the worst way to earn a hundred large.

Richard or Susan - they're both worth less than nothing. Together they are worth even less. And Rudy's too old for the physical challenges. Eventually they'll have to shuck him, Rupert's alliance notwithstanding.”

All stars is truely 'jumping the shark'.

Those attributes of Survivor that make the show worth watching, - seeing over a few weeks which are the real losers and which are the treacherous ones, seeing to what exteny people will debase themselves for even a chance at a million bucks (eating bugs, drinking rotten fish stew)

are completely missing from this show cos we have seen them all before.

“For those who are not watching, in the all-star version they were given only one machete per team, a well of tainted water that they must boil to drink, and no matches. They've been rubbing bamboo together until their arms got tired with no results.

So it really does have a wrinkle worthy of these alleged stars.

Also, the personality mix has providers and what Creek Dancer calls "lazy butt whiners" on each of the three teams.

So I don't see that it's jumping the shark, at least not yet. This is going to be a very interesting show.”

“Cold weather would never work, I'm afraid. If they couldn't flash some skin every few moments, at least 1/3 of the audience would vaporize. They'd gain some, but it'd be a net loss.

As far as Rupert, it is like the one Survivor said on the last finale, that CBS decides what they want to show, they can make someone who a nice person look like a A-hole when they only show the bad stuff.
Maybe their just showing more bad stuff about Rupert, in your opinion?.
I still like him, he was legitimatly crying about the witches wanting him to vote off Rudy, and he stayed true to his word. and voted for Ethan.

“I hated to see Rudy go, but the simple fact was that he's lost a lot of physical ability and was a liability in the challenges.

I predicted he would go if they went to tribal council again. They did, and he did.

Apparently Rupert gets into it with the other team members in the next episode, based on the preview last night. Should be interesting. If they lose another challenge, it will be very hard on the surviving three team members. Guess they'd have to reorganize the teams at some point.”

“Is anyone else bored with this group of "survivors"? I can't put my finger on it. I just don't like any of them, can't keep track of the teams, don't really care about anyone wining or loosing. Maybe the 3 team thing is throwing me off - we do better with one against one.”

“I totally missed the last 1/2 hour of the show last night. My mom called, even though I warned her not to call at that time! So, what happened, did they tell Jenna her mom was sick and they let her go? Did anyone else get voted off?”
