But in re examining this stance I feel that a democrat would not be the end of the world. We survived the Clinton years after all. I also feel it just might be a GOOD thing as the republicans still control the other branches. Thus far I feel they have not lived up to their end of the bargain. It's not throwing your vote away, if you believe in what and whom you are voting for. As for Ross, even though he didn’t win the election, some of the issues that he brought forth affected the other parties.”

2) That the party will take away votes from the underdog (assuming that you are one who doesn't want the incumbent back in)

About throwing our votes away.....speaking as a person whose never voted for a Bush or Clinton, I could feel like I threw my vote away by voting for Ross, because nothing really ever came of that. The Reform Party went belly up after a while and then ya had Darth Nader during the last election. Now, my feeling about third party voting is two fold. First, I love that fact that in this country, you can voting pretty much for who you want. The thing I hate is that in two recent elections, the third party voting is what got the guy that I didn't want elected. So, the fact still remains that, as of today, a third party vote is a vote against who ever winds up loosing, if it's close.”
