North Fork Mountain Trail, West Virginia

“After driving by this trail for 25 years I finally hiked it.

Wow!
Even with limited visibilty the sights from this 24 mile ridge trail were spectacular.

Seneca Rocks looked rather small from up there.”

My knees are a little sore from the monster descent in the last two miles.......over 2000 feet in two miles.

HOI, we melted a little snow on the southern parts and when we got further north and low on water there was not enough snow to be found.

Saturday and Sunday was pretty mild just above and below freezing.
Monday morning it was 11 degrees with a dusting of snow.
The snow was too fluffy to amount to much for melting.
We collected some off the tents for tea.
