just a joke, but hey...
So, I'm moving to Florida. Just found out that my crappy mini-van goobermobile is too heavy to put on a U-Haul car carrier. So here I sit in a quandry. I gotta drive a truck down. My oldest kid is 12 and he can't really drive the van following me.

Is anyone going down to South Florida in the next week or so and able to drive my mini-van down?

hahahahaha, hey ya never know, right? it'd save me a plane ticket.

they put my SUV which is bigger than an Explorer on the 4 wheel dolly...plus the 4 wheel carrier is easier to handle and safer

hmmm, the U-haul thing said my minivan was too heavy. Need to call and get the real answer. I had asked for the 4 wheel full trailer.

if this doesn't work..you may have to look at movers...the 2 vehicle drive/2 trips cost may exceed the simplicity of movers

Pt. St. Lucie
I lived in Jensen Beach from '79 - '94, and framed about 1300 homes in St. Lucie. My brother still lives in my old house in Jensen

First let me say that I don't know how far Melbourne and Ocala area.

What if one of the locals that's going on the Ocala trip drove it that far and then you would have a shorter shuttle and could possibly get a local(Melbourne) friend to drive you up there and then you head home.

Seems like I designed a movie theater in Melbourne a few years ago.

Good luck.

Looks like I'm in good shape again. Just got off the phone with the move co and the van should trailer just fine.

whew, this is complicated enough.

Since you're almost on the way, why don't you join us at Ocala NF-3? Do it while you have the opportunity. Ocala-4 is a year away and, as a nomad, you'll probably have moved far away by that time. LOL.

So I guess Atlanta was a no-go? Good luck with your move.

You're cazy Wheelz
Why on earth would you move from warm Florida to frozen Michigan? I love Columbus but I would rather it be a lot warmer.

Yeah, Atlanta turned out bust.

Considering Ocala 3. Depends on work hours, I'm an accountant so its gonna be a bit hectic at the office in February.

That's really a shame considering it's so close to the mountains and all. Of course, Florida has it's advantages too.

ah, it's cool. I'll get to go fishing fairly frequently. I'll have to repurchase some sort of paddle craft, but it is fairly warm down there right now.

Florida vs. Northern Michigan
After 15 years of baking my brain outside in Florida, I've had my share of nice weather. I mean, the weather's always the same, it never changes, I used to get a woody if it rained. Too many people and the desire to raise my daughter in "White Bread" America led me to move up here 7 years ago. Never regretted it for a minute
