The Ozark Trail Association is going to be sponsoring a Class A Sawyer Certification class with the US Forest Service. Still working on the dates, but it will be a two-day class, which will be
held on a weekend or possibly consecutive Saturdays in either February or March. If you are interested in taking part in the training please reply to this email as soon as you can with available dates. Hope to have a

OTA Board Meeting

The first OTA Board meeting of 2004 will be held on Saturday, January 24th at 10:00. The meeting will be held at the Arcadian Café, 123 Main Street,

We will be electing a new Board of Directors at this meeting. The
meeting will open with a Q&A session with the candidates and then elections will be held. After the votes are tallied, the new board will conduct business.

After the meeting we are looking at having an optional hike over on the Marble Creek section of the OT, over the 3-mile Crane Lake loop. Hike will be at approximately 1:00 PM, meeting at the Crane Lake parking area.

C'mon Mutt, you swing from tree to tree, high above them, waaaaaaaay off trail, right? Give'm their space too. Play nice. :-)

That's an interesting thought, lizs. I could climb a tree that overhangs the trail and 'water' the rats as they pass by below...

hmmmmmmm... you should not drop pennies from tall heights onto passersby below..... and neither should you "water" them. LOL! Just think, Mutt, now that you know where these groups will be, YOU can be FAR AWAY from them! See, it IS HELPFUL information!

lol - I like your logic, lizs. Actually that is the good thing about trails. It keeps the trailrats in one place, and the rest of the forest is reserved for the enthusiasts.
