Who has been bare while in the woods

“Just thought I'd get this thread started since it's not quite hard to misread the title of the other thread.

And no, I have not been bare in the woods. At least, not yet. I still have not really hiked with Jerbear.”

“It was the after the real bear encounter. I stopped at one of the lakes to cool off for awhile. And take a bath.”

“somewhere after hogpen gap on another section hike i was wanting to get a little sleep...i was alone and so i cut out off the trail about 300 yards or so...and found a nice spot with an outcrop overlook kinda...clothes were soaking and stinking...i strung them up over night and went to bed nekked as i woulda been at home...get up in the morning and get the clothes..grab hold of the line they were hanging on and damn thing slipped outta my hands...so instead of putting anything on i just skipped on down around the side of the overlook and found my shorts hanging about 15 feet up a tree...did i climb the tree...you bet...i have never felt so primitive in my life...trotting around the woods climbing trees nekked is great for the soul..try it...itll change you”

“lol...it wasnt all the funny when i first thought of going down there naked just got to be a blast though when i thought about climbing the tree...man...im tempted to go set that incident up again....probably woulda kept the clothes on if i had been with anyone other than my significant other...she cracked up when i told her about it though...”

“Im thinking sometime in March, I can barely weight.”

“It's been several years ago but I've hiked nude one the trail. I'd already set up camp and took a walk to a stream for a swim. After my swim I went back to camp with nothing on but my boots. It was pretty hot outside and the walk was about a mile from the stream. I've skinny dipped several times too when out hiking.”

“Oh yeah, I hiked most of the Skyway loop trail in Talladega NF in the nude once.”

“WD - you streaked the Skyway Loop trail? That's like 6 miles. I've hiked that trail several times and never seen anyone. Now the Devil's Den area would be a little braver.”

“Back when I was lean and mean, we all did. Climbing, skiing and lounging around camp, naked was in. We even had a contest to see who could lose their tan lines first. Worst sunburn I ever had was on top of Ski Heil during the Spring....Amy and I both fell asleep while sunbathing....couldn't wear clothes for a couple days after that.


Now that we're older and wiser (IE, that means old and fat) it's not done as often. Although the more fit in our group still has no problems with it. The rest of us don't want to scare anybody :-)”
