Who supported Saddam as he and murdered thousands of people in the 80s... ? Your other Fake Cowboy... Ronny Reagan. Let Me Think...... Who supported Stalin as he murdered millions of people during his time... ? Your President during WWII, the Democrat Franklin Roosevelt. Actually, you see, I feel Roosevelt did the "right thing" to ally with the murderous Stalin against Hitler. Funny, Churchill (Britian) was with this alliance as well. Sometimes you must ally with the lesser of two evils to defeat the greater evil. And when two evils are fighting, it's a good thing, and they both are weakened. You act like we don't know about Saddam. Hell... Liberals were trying to tell your guys not to back that mass murderer going back 20+ years. NOW... "it's imperative that he be removed as a service to mankind..." Ha ha! This stuff cracks me up! Come on, Tilt, what have I been hearing the liberals say lately? That we should've gotten Saddam the FIRST time 'round, back in '91, and that Bush's daddy dropped the ball? Liberals say we should've just gone in and taken Saddam out way back then, we were right there! What, the turkey-shoot bloodbath on the highway from Kuwait wasn't bloody enough for you libs? What, you liberals think we should have continued to slaughter fleeing Iraqi troops and gone into Baghdad (which wasn't the purpose of the Gulf War anyway) and continued on to kill Saddam then? Why the cries for historical blood? Why should we have slaughtered Saddam back then, and not now? Is his blood less runny for you now? Go ahead and continue to defend Saddam's regime, many of us think the guy was really evil. Maybe not quite as evil as Stalin, who slaughtered millions of people, which the Democratic President Franklin Roosevelt sided with as an ally, but still, Saddam was pretty icky. And Violin, quoting the anti-war organization Human Rights Watch on the Iraq war? HA HA! They are as toothless and spineless as the U.N.! Duh, they're gonna be against the war, despite what their "purpose" statement says! This is from the website of Human Rights Watch: - "We stand with victims and activists to prevent discrimination, to uphold political freedom, to protect people from inhumane conduct in wartime, and to bring offenders to justice. - "We investigate and expose human rights violations and hold abusers accountable. - "We challenge governments and those who hold power to end abusive practices and respect international human rights law. - "We enlist the public and the international community to support the cause of human rights for all. What a joke! They say Saddam was "okay" yet say they promote and uphold "political freedom" and are "anti-discrimination" and they, "challenge governments and those who hold power to end abusive practices and respect international human rights law"? HA HA HA HA! Sounds like the Iraqi Information Minister found himself another spokesman job!” 2:09:08 PM 1/27/04 “Hey Violin, there are legal ways to demonstrate in mass, and illegal ways. If you are going to have a large planned protest gathering, no matter what the cause or purpose, on both sides of issues, it is required that permits be legally obtained to do so. If the masses go beyond what is deemed legal, regardless of issues at hand, then the riot police are called in. That's not Rrepub or Dem, that's just laws on the books. You are so paranoid and ascaird of Bush, and you give him so much conspiratorial power in your own mind, that you think Bush calls all the shots and tells the police what they can or can't do. Hmmmm. Go get 'em, kiddo! As far as the Presidential protection stuff, well, uhhh, ahem, that works both ways for both parties. You blame Bush for the same protections that Clinton had? Wowzy! You guyz really fear this dude, don'tcha? Watch out, Bush has Ashcroft peering through a little button at the bottom of your computer monitor as we speak. BOO! You jumped! Ha ha!” 2:17:44 PM 1/27/04 “Man, sure is good that the libs aren't violent and so peace loving or Franken would have snapped his neck. :)” 2:25:24 PM 1/27/04 “Franken is a pansy!” 2:27:13 PM 1/27/04 “Hey Buck - You are long-winded but clueless. From the ref="http://hrw.org/wr2k4/3.htm#_Toc58744952">Human Rights Watch report: "Because the Iraq war was not mainly about saving the Iraqi people from mass slaughter, and because no such slaughter was then ongoing or imminent, Human Rights Watch at the time took no position for or against the war." Care to explain how this makes them anti-war?” 2:31:23 PM 1/27/04 “Franken has video of the altercation on his website. If that's a tackle, then I'm a monkey's uncle.” 2:36:56 PM 1/27/04 “Franken has video of the altercation on his website. If that's a tackle, then I'm a monkey's uncle.” 2:36:58 PM 1/27/04 “A quick check on the violin link shows yet another attempt to suck in the unwary. Guess this makes you a 'monkey's uncle' Violin. So which of your siblings had children with a monkey ?? I am sure Lyra will love you.” 2:41:31 PM 1/27/04 2:51:58 PM 1/27/04 “Those black-helmeted police are just protecting themselves from the viscious moms and dads with their kids. They'll bite your head off, man!” 3:01:30 PM 1/27/04 “"Because the Iraq war was not mainly about saving the Iraqi people from mass slaughter, and because no such slaughter was then ongoing or imminent, Human Rights Watch at the time took no position for or against the war." Hey Violin, care to explain this? -"We stand with victims and activists to prevent discrimination, to uphold political freedom, to protect people from inhumane conduct in wartime, and to bring offenders to justice." Does that mean someone has to come to the defense of those being "slaughtered" only? huh? Huh? HUH? If this org won't even admit that Saddam was in gross violation of Human Rights, then what is their agenda? It sure isn't for their claim of "we challenge governments and those who hold power to end abusive practices and respect international human rights law". And they sure weren't in it for the abused Iraqi people, that's for sure! They are much like the U.N., pure useless words that carry as much weight as 800-fill quality goose down feather. But at least even the U.N. admitted the gross human rights violations of Saddam. If you libs* were truly concerned about human rights, you'd be all for Saddam's ouster. But politics plays a higher role than your own ideals. *whoever may be reading this and are liberal, you may not necessarily fall into this category personally; stereotyped for sake of discussion. You may be seated.” 3:02:52 PM 1/27/04 “Give Al a 15 yard penalty for an illegal block in the back.” 3:03:16 PM 1/27/04 “I'll give Buck extra points for use of a backpacking term, "800 fill down", way to keep things in a backpacking vein!” 3:09:46 PM 1/27/04 “Thank you, thanks so much, thank you, this means a lot to me, thank you VERY much, this is great, just superb, el fantastiko, I'm excited! THANK YOU PEOPLE! Thank you again, once again thank you, thank you, one more time, THANK YOU! You're all TERRIFIC TOM'S!!!” 3:13:16 PM 1/27/04 “OK Buck. You win. If you care to read the volumes of human right abuses the Human Rights Watch documented, go here: http://hrw.org/doc/?t=mideast_pub&c=iraq The argument is simple Buck. They are saying that the war can't be justified on humanitarian grounds because there was no ongoing or imminent mass killing in Iraq when we invaded. You have spoken of being motivated by your faith. Take some time to read about just war theory and try to justify this on moral grounds. You just can't.” 3:17:28 PM 1/27/04 ViOlLin “Whistle!!!! That's five yards for excessive use of "just, just and justify"!” 3:23:23 PM 1/27/04 “Dang!” 3:38:13 PM 1/27/04 “Hey, Buck's on a thread and it's degenerated to the point where it's no longer about what it's about. Go figure. I stand by my original statement. If Al franken just jumped out of the crowd and bodyslammed someone for yelling at Dean, he deserves jail time. If there's more to the case than that, it should be considered before jumping to conclusions, especially since he's not known for running around kicking people's asses often.” 3:43:58 PM 1/27/04 “If Buck gargles with Imodium....” 3:46:09 PM 1/27/04 “errrr... Buck, have you noticed that there is a difference between saying someone abuses human rights and saying they should be invaded and occupied.” 4:25:35 PM 1/27/04 “Al Franken = Moron” 4:31:38 PM 1/27/04 “OK - The Post is calling it "body-slammed", CNN says Franken "helped carry out one of the disrupters" and the always reliable MewsMax quotes eyewitness Tim Russert as saying "The press guy for Dean tried to grab onto him and remove him and he couldn't do it. All of a sudden, Al Franken jumped out of the media gallery, ran down and grabbed this guy on the leg and started wrestling him to the ground." If Russert's account is accurate, I've used less force in breaking up fights.” 4:47:07 PM 1/27/04 Oh yeah: 4:47:57 PM 1/27/04 “MewsMax?” 4:48:34 PM 1/27/04 “to black-helmeted riot police firing tear gas, rubber bullets and bean-bag rounds into crowds of protesters in Portland Oregon If only the helmets had been UN blue, then it would have been okay, is that what you're saying Violin? Shame on those riot police for wearing helmets, much less black helmets. The horror! Thank God for liberal ideas, what would stupid people believe in otherwise?” 4:52:41 PM 1/27/04 “Hey Violin, this war, to me, is justified on many different moral levels. Phaedrus, you suggest that I brought this thread off topic? Ha! Not so. Re-read the thread and see where it went astray. According to the mental records, here's the tooth of the matter: Buck, you reveal your true fascist colors when you put the word right in quotations, which is a clear indication you think there is no right to disagree with a nazi-like president starting phony wars for his oil buddies. - Slugman Invading a country under false pretenses and killing thousands of people is Fine & Dandy... but get into a scuffle at a political rally and the fools scream for blood! - Tilt Uhhh... Phaedrus, I kept to the subject I was discussing, and it was brought off course by the libs linking this to the Iraq war? How it got there is not beyond me, I understand because so many liberals despise Bush so much that even if Al Franken tackles someone at a Howard Dean rally, it ties into Bush's invasion of Iraq. Ha ha! Gotta love it!” 4:55:24 PM 1/27/04 “"Franken said he's not backing Dean but merely wanted to protect the right of people to speak freely." So sense when is Frankin the official Ahole who gets to deside who's free speech should be heard. What a hypocrit, he denighs one person's free speech for that of another? He's a camera whore and just wanted his picture in the paper. Loser...” 5:02:00 PM 1/27/04 “This guy is a joke! He heckles people all the time and he decides to throw a spaz and tell everyone it was in support of free speech! BS!!! I hope this guy throws a lawsuit his way! I would take this P.O.S. and body slam him. It would have been more entertaining if he was dressed up as Stewart Smalley! Looks like he missed his Daily Affirmation that day.” 5:03:50 PM 1/27/04 “Liberal Headline News (Exeter, NH): AL FRANKEN TACKLES HECKLER AT DEAN RALLY, INCIDENT LINKED TO BUSH'S UNJUSTIFIED INVASION OF IRAQ.” 5:07:42 PM 1/27/04 “Nigal - The LaRouchian's right of free speech interfered with the right of all those folks to freely assemble, didn't it.” 5:12:09 PM 1/27/04 “I'm disappointed Violin, you didn't take the bait. You're supposed to be provoked to anger and give a stinging rebuttal to my post. It seems I can't even degenerate a thread into childish name-calling.” 5:14:08 PM 1/27/04 “No - You've failed as a troll. Go have a doughnut.” 5:15:54 PM 1/27/04 “Besides – I thought your ‘blue helmet’ reference was innuendo.” 5:17:08 PM 1/27/04 “POLITICAL THREADS SUCK. KEEP IT UP AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE PUNISHMENT!” 5:49:56 PM 1/27/04 “Well, we ended the discussion by wearing blue helmets and eating donuts, it doesn't get any better than that. Well, I guess it could get better than that. We could be wearing blue helmets and eating donuts while judging the Miss Backpacking 2004 contest.” 5:52:23 PM 1/27/04 “ ![]() 5:52:26 PM 1/27/04 “Nigal - The LaRouchian's right of free speech interfered with the right of all those folks to freely assemble, didn't it." VioLiN 05:12:09 PM 01/27/04 Why do Al Franken or anyone who's not a law enforcement officer get to chose who is a disruption? I find horses sh@tting on trails and mtn bikers flying down trails to be disrupting to my hiking and running but I cant just decide to haul off and tackle someone. Of course I am not a rich celebrity.” 8:24:04 PM 1/27/04 “Al is a jerk, but he's not commander and chief.” 8:26:26 PM 1/27/04 “I have to admit, the recent spate of admonitions to eat doughnuts leaves me confused. Is there some inside joke I've missed on one of the threads recently, or perhaps this is somehow strangely related to a famous story such as the turd in the pack?” 12:41:33 AM 1/28/04 “There's a difference between physical civil disobediance and verbal civil disobediance. When it gets physical, that's plain, simple assault.” 5:20:47 AM 1/28/04 “You can't deny your close relationship with doughnuts, can you?” 7:20:53 AM 1/28/04 “Whoa, watch out for the doughnuts, Stickman! You could become Stoutman! I once threw a rowdy partly sane man out of a grocery store. The employees had to be polite and I thought that they had enough of his abuse. "Sir, I don't work here so it won't do any good to talk to the manager." My hair was like a grown-out buzz cut and my body language was intentionally threatening. I kept telling him that he was going to leave but never had to actually lay hands on him. Ya just don't touch crazy people unless you really have to, right Stickman?” 8:18:57 AM 1/28/04 “Don't forget the gloves.” 8:26:14 AM 1/28/04 “I think Franken should stick to own league and body slam folks more on his physical and IQ level... ”8:31:07 AM 1/28/04 ““Why don’t you take a flying fvck at a rolling donut?" Kurt Vonnegut” 9:01:11 AM 1/28/04 “I wanna see Franken and O'Reilly go three rounds on the mat.” 9:03:26 AM 1/28/04 “I think you should get back to putting those books away!” 10:19:37 AM 1/28/04 “Next think you know, Franken will be dangling that baby over a balcony.” 10:45:20 AM 1/28/04 “I think, if there were cause, Al would be up on charges by now. Sounds like an overblown story to me.” 10:53:09 AM 1/28/04
