Saw this tent on ebay...
Now this may be overkill, but the idea is stimulating...

I use a Moto Guzzi for fair weather trips. Enough room for me
and my pack. I'll use it more often as the mileage on my 2000
pickup just hit 60K.

If I can swing (maybe) a Honda
Goldwing,I would definately get the camper!

Motorcycle has got to be the worst way to travel.

I would like to do it again.

There was that 20-25% of the time when it was sublime!

Tom, I haven't ridden in the snow
for about 6 yrs. Too busy I guess.
Last time was a 80 miler out west.
Temp was 15. I stopped at a store
to make a phone call. Left the bike running and one of the exhaust pipes turned blue..dang!

elfskin, I've stopped for a cup of coffee while riding in the cold only to throw the coffee on myself from the shivers.

I haven't done any snow-riding since 1980......and that's a good thing.

That reminds me of the mortercycle guy on my morning commute. Argyle socks, loafers and cuffed dress slacks with a windbreaker jacket every day no matter what the weather. There are some mornings I don't understand why he's not blue. Especially this morning...~20 degrees...Brrrrr!

I guess he doesn't have to worry about bugs...

Tom T - Gojo (actually Sarabelle) already calls me Smelly Girl, so what the heck. A little motorcycle exhaust can't hurt....

I rode through a hail storm that came off the front range in CO once. Man-oh-man that stuff hurts! Not great to ride ON either.

I got a yellow jacket up my sleeve on a nice warm ride.

The other guys thought I had lost my mind trying to park in a hurry.

i always knew Smiley was a bad girl!

Tarpy has tried motorcycle camping before, in PA...he didn't like it. he felt like everyone was all, "what're yew doin' here, boy, we don't take kindly to yer type 'round here." LOL! as in, he felt like a freak. which he is. but that's beside the point.

My road buddy and I pulled our bikes into a private campground in Ste. Leonard, New Brunswick many moons ago.

We had to convince the little French dude that we were not the advance party for a mob of dirty bikers.

Yeah, I'm being taken to a motorcycle show in a couple weeks to "gear up". And, a trip is being planned to drive the entire coastline of the lower penninsula. I think that will be a fun trip, but I think my behind is going to hurt!

"already been asked to attned the Honda Hoot."

Is this like a Honda biker rally where all the leather is vinyl and the gang sex is only simulated?
Nigal

What's with all that leather, anyway?

Its difficult to tell a biker rally from a gay pride rally.
Tom Terrific

well, i'm not really up on all the lingo, but i guess its a touring bike. its got a back rest so i can chill out, and he's got saddle bags for gear and stuff, and that's really all i know.

my knees get stiff after sitting for like a 1/2 hour on it. we're gonna do the coastal trip in like 2 long weekends. we'll see how other trips go before the longer coastal trip...

Like I said, its a miserable way to travel.......except for the really good parts.

My worst and longest day was Lafayette, Indiana to Duluth, Minnesota.
700 miles in 20 hours.
Help, I can't feel my ass!!!
