Photos from Hoodoo overnighter

I just got back from a quick overnighter to Hoodoo. I was teaching a friend about wintercamping, replacing a micro cache that turned up missing and playing with my new digital camera. I am new to digital cameras so I took most of the pictures with the setting on "auto". I plan to experiment with the other settings, including the manual settings, later. I did figure out how to use the panorama setting, after a few attempts. I kinda like that feature.

Susan had to study for a nurse's test so she stayed in camp while I skied up to replace the cache, I was in kind of a hurry (we had to be back early) so I didn't really get to photo Hoodoo proper, but we plan to run back up soon.

Those pics are awesome, Steve. What kind of camera did you buy? The panorama feature looks like it didn't take you long to figure out. And it works fine. Great stuff!

Thanks Treebeard.

The camera I got is a Canon A80. So far I really like it.

Mtn Steve
I have the Sony P-72 digital. It takes good pictures for the most part. But, I like what I saw with yours. I looked up the specs and that's a good camera, man! Use it well and keep those pics coming. Good choice...

Great pics, thanks. BTW, what's a Hoodoo? I've always wanted to know.

I never did figure out what a Hoodoo was. One of the Rangers named the place that a few years ago...he said they reminded him of another place he use to baxck country ski.

Treebeard...Thanks again, I did a lot of research. I almost went with the Olympus 400 Stylus because of the water resistant feature...in the end I decided on going with the sharpest image and total control over exposure (I'm an admitted control freak after using my SLR's for many years).

There are an awful lot of great cameras out there, especially in that price range.
