And I think I proved drinking liquor straight is the perfect way to avoid a hangover. As long as you're not drinking rail.

Oh yeah, how long you been doing that, Nimble? Because I wonder how you'll post 5 years from now. heeheehee!

That's what's cool, Lyra. I know what I'm doing, laugh like hell, sleep great, remember everything and have no regrets. I'm tellin' ya,it's the only way I can watch O'Reilly and The Factor. Chris Matthews, Keith Olberman, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report are hilarious.

Yeah but how long have you been doing it? If you're like most people, it'll get boring after awhile too, just like alcohol. The effect on your body will be totally different! Total bummer dude.

Not that long, maybe a couple of years. A few times on my thruhike (it gave the younger folks a big kick to get me going).

In fact, I remember this one time, somewhere in Virginia, when a bunch of us were sitting around trying to predict the weather up ahead in the area of our next climb. We sat around this shelter recreating. Soon people got the munchies and this one young lady, Swan, sitting next to me began to cook some lunch. Once the preparation was finished she held the cooking pot (notice how I specified "cooking"?) between her legs and began to eat. One of the guys asked her if she was afraid she'd burn herself. She responded "If it's cool enough to set in my lap, it's cool enough to eat." The general conversation continued and I sat bewildered that young folks with no other indication of taste could be so obtuse. Finally, after what seemed like an hour (but probably 5 minutes), I nudged her and asked "Tell me Swan, am I cool enough to sit in your lap?" So much laughter ensued that it wasn't possible for her to beat the crap out of me. Good times!

Umm 5 minutes is still a pretty long time! haha ;-)

Well I'll give you another couple years or so, then you'll start thinking you're turning into an idiot when you do it. So then you'll have to move on to crack or something else new. LOL!

Could be, but I don't see it bringing me anywhere I don't want to go. Much different than booze - never any preoccupying thoughts, but I will pay attention.

LOL! My neighbor is about 90 years old, and lives alone. She smokes about 2 packs a day, and it is nothing to see her out on her porch at 0900, in her night gown, Natty Light in one hand, and a smoke in the other. LOL! I love that old woman, she's a riot, and she cusses like a sailor. That and the fact that she lets me raid her MASSIVE garden any time I please! What a sweat heart.

apparently we're under some kind of state of emergency? #&%!$ the terrorist we might get wet!

On other fronts I got my oil changed, tires rotated, and a screw removed/hole sealed in one of my tires. all for the low price of $77.

Now we turn to sports...........

Washington Nats came cancelled on fear of getting wet. Over to you Ken...

Thanks Brian. this is Ken, usually in the channel 7 Eye-in-the-Sky helicopter. but they don't pay me enough to risk my life to give you #&%!$ing traffic reports. As i look into the DC Metro webcams from my office PC i can tell you only morons are on the road.

So yes, SOSO, roads are clogged and everyone is #&%!$ed. Back to you Brian....
