Poor little maid
She's stuck doing the dishes and can't play on TT right now. And then, she noticed all these black streaks on the kitchen floor, and said: Who ever made those marks should clean them up. I sadly said okayyyy... (We are both wearing our new ski boots, making sure they fit) Then I went out there and dragged my feet. No black marks. I asked her to drag her feet... Instant black mark!! She's gonna mop the floor... oops... looks like she is fixin to convince me to do it!!!!

I'll get back to you....

SB was out shopping with her daughter today, and when she gets home, do you know what I did???

That's right, I scrubbed the floor but good!!! And I even got some mechanical assistance this time. Not a battery operated one mind you, this was a plug in model with a power cord!!! What a great job it did. When finished, we were fully satisfied that the floor got scrubbed like it ain't never been scrubbed before!!!

uh, we just hope the floor isn't permanently stined now....

For those of you who don't know what happened, I spilled some hot candlewax on the floor recently (and my hand, incidentally). Red wax on new white linoleum. And it wasn't coming off for nothing. We checked multiple places on the internet, and tried everything.

What did work was mechanical removal. Layman's term for scraping.... That got most of it. Then ammonia and brillo pads were getting the rest, ever so slowly. Finally, I got my power sander with 100 grit sandpaper and carefully sanded the remaining wax off. Now we need to re wax the no wax floor, since it has been abraided off by all the scrubbing.

Note to self: don't move candles that have just been blown out.

you people spend too much time washing floors! course at first, I thought that was your pet name for...something else...

anyway, watch out for those plug in models, you don't wanna end up in the ER!
