Edwards wins big in S. Carolina. Exit polls give him slim lead in Oklahoma. Kerry is strongest in traditional Democratic states. Edwards has a chance to broaden Democratic support.

Vote against Bush. Vote for Edwards.

Michigan is next. I get to vote!

Edwards is awesome and he is honest and trustworthy. I got inside info that came direct from the Kerry campaign that Kerry and Edwards are already discussing being running mates.

It's good to see that Edwards won SC, he had no choice. Loosing would've been the end of his campaing. He needs as much money as he can get his hands on......"Super Tuesday" only totals up 10% of the delegates needed to get the nod. Down week one, next is week two.

I hope Dean gets bounced out soon. Its amazing that his campaign has crashed the way it did. Clark needs to go too. Kerry and Edwards are the two best candidates.

Kerry is a carrer politician..you might as well vote Republican.

Edwards double talk of taking special interest money this morning on the Today show will speak volumes.

NEWS FLASH!!! Clark Takes Oklahoma. You heard it here first!

Lieberman isn;t even the President of Delaware.

boooooo hoooooooo (<G>)

What's the breakout in Missouri? It's the state that's supposed to have the nationally representative demographics.

everything I read says that OK is still too close to call. Its a tight 3way race there but it seems to be between Clark and Edwards.

Leiberman barely registered in Delaware - the one state that people thought he might have a chance in - no wonder he's out.

Clark and Edwards must both wish the other would fold.

I'd like to see Clark run for some other office - don't think he can do it this election. He has a great message for the national campaign: "The Republican party left me - and other moderates. I am what in the mainstream of what the Republican party once was."

Problem is that this will be the Generals only run. He is not a politician. He is running because he felt it nessesary. He was "drafted", shall we say. The only other way he will serve is to be appointed to a position. I don't feel that he would serve as a VP, not that he wouldn't make a GREAT VP.

Kerry wants Edwards to be his running mate. That is from the inside.
nashvillehiker

The clear choice is Edwards.

But if not, find a moderate from Ohio or Florida.

If Kerry wins all the Gore states - West Coast, NE, Upper Midwest, plus Ohio, he is President and the South can do what they want.

(CBS/AP) John Kerry solidified his status as the Democratic presidential front-runner with wins Tuesday in five of seven states: Missouri, Delaware, New Mexico, North Dakota and Arizona.

John Edwards kept his campaign alive with a solid win in his native South Carolina, while retired Gen. Wesley Clark eked out his first win of the primary season, beating Edwards by just a few hundred votes in Oklahoma.

Howard Dean was shut out along with Joe Lieberman, who dropped out of the race without a win in a single state.

Buck

I think Gore felt that Dean was going to win the nomination and he was trying to get the process streamlined in order to focus on ousting Bush. Gore simply got on the Dean bandwagon.

That's cool if Gore wanted to endorse Dean, but "how" he did it was tacky, IMHO, especially since Lieberman was Gore's previous running mate.

Of course a Kerry / Hillary ticket might be pretty strong too. But Edwards might be better for the southern votes. It'll be veddy intarestin' to see how it plays out. I love this country.

Hillary's not politically viable as a vice president candidate right now. Edwards, Clark or Kerry (depending on the outcomes of the primaries), or even Gephart would be better choices.
