“Arrrrr....many's been the time me mates and me were drunk for days on end, especially in port. Shipboard's a different story though, right risky it is, to be drunk when letting down the tops'l. Poor Mickey Blaine, he was drunk as a lord one day, and fell from the top...he hit every yardarm on the way down...I had to set an example, as captain ye know, so I strung up his poor bones for a week so's all could see what being drunk on a ship will get ye....arrrrrrrrrr”
