dumb and dumber...things to think about

“I know that gear threads have been all played out.

trips go on and on...

and political and religious topics create heated debate.

But, there has become an overwhelming amount of lameness to TT of late.

I'm not innocent of launching lame topics, and for that I apologize, but, fun is needed sometimes, but what I consider fun, to others might be lame, and what others consider fun, could be considered lame by me.

I guess what I'm gettin at is that there seems to be less and less of what we all love to live...the outdoors. backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, bike riding...etc.

I'd like to see more of that, but, I know the reality...more lame comments will ensue do to my ranting.

So what.

I've met quite a few of you and always talk in the positive manner towards TT and its "members". We are the PRE-EMINENT group of backpackers in the USA, maybe on the planet. We are unique among all the websites on the internet. We are truely only 6 degrees away from each other. This is a magical place where friendships and relationships are the norm, and not the uncommon. I know of no other place on the web, where such bonds exist. It has been a pleasure to have met those I've met, but, I do get tired of all the trash that comes from so many places, including my own house, so...if we are the best of the best...shouldn't we act like it???
