Feeler Thread “While visiting Peru on business I looked into the hiking in the Andes Mountains and discovered there is a very nice 4 day 120 km trail the goes through ancient Incas ruins in the Andes Mountain. I'm wondering if anyone out there would be interested in a group TT trip. Give us some information if you would please.” 3:17:48 PM 2/10/04 “You going to post this on the trips page?” 11:59:32 AM 2/12/04 “I've been hiking all over Peru recently. If you have any questions on it, let me know. My email is kaisernewcom@yahoo.com I highly recommend the Huayhuash Circuit if you have the time.” 4:38:44 PM 2/12/04 Back In The States “Wow I didn't expect that much interest! The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu looks like a good place to start investigating. Cost? Flight: Continental from Little Rock to Lima,Peru is $1050 currently with only one week notice. I've heard that it is less from Orlando by $200-300.(must be a Disney special) A week would probably cost $300 per person depending on whether we day hiked or backpacked and camped on the trail. These are only rough estimates. I just got back and started looking on the web for additional info. I found some gps data on www.travelbygps.com which might be of interest to anyone with a gpd. The machupicchu trail is gps coordinates etc are downloadable. Now RoseyMonster tell us more about that Huayhuash Circuit... Moz” 9:21:41 PM 2/12/04
