And how much experience did your boy, Georgie, have as head executioner in Texas concerning foreign affairs? He didn't even know the heads of state of some countries back then.

Hell, he still can't pronounce them!!!

"And how much experience did your boy, Georgie, have as head executioner in Texas concerning foreign affairs?"

Objective as always tree beard. LOL! He came from Texas gawd’s sake. He had plenty of experience with foreigners! Being the son of a president would give him some insight at least. Then again, Billy Bob Klinton would have had even less and he’s the liberal Messiah so it must be all good in hood.

I do think I know why sKerry picked such an inexperienced running mate. He’s young and he’s from the south. They’re going for the Clinton factor. Pandering to the women and the south. Not to mention the southern women. J

Being the son of a president is the best you can do, Nigal. You are one funny man! And you comment on my objectivity? Boy, you know how to pile on the sh_t sometimes! Oh, man! Thanks for the laugh anyway...

I aim to please. But then again, sKerry's the one running around talking about how the whole world hates us and he's the one to fix it not Bush. I would think he'd pick someone more experienced in that area. The actual humor of it all is the fact that fell back into the weakest argument of all..."Oh yeah? Well what about Bush?" rather than focusing on the issue; sKerry.

the thing that scares the crap out of me is this ticket is about as liberal as they come. A Kennedy/Hillary ticket would be more conservative than these two being #1 and #4 for their liberalism.

That seven letter filthy word that begins with 'l' really riles you guys up, doesn't it? Personally, I think it's overused and misplaced half the time, but that's my take on it. Even with Clinton. Frankly, I never looked at him as your classic liberal. And, in retrospect, I still don't see it that way. Unless, of course, you use it to describe anything to the left of the likes of Ashcroft or some standard like that!

Klinton was a moderate which was a strength to him. Hell, he's a concervative republican compared to sKerry/Eddie. I'm not afraid of liberals, I just don't like them and what they stand for.

Now, now, Nigal. I believe I have heard you warn others about that kind of generalizing in the past. Tsk, tsk! Shame on you, young man! You know better. (bailiff, whack his peepee!)

I guess it's pretty easy to be against civil rights, open societies and liberty and in favor such things as discrimination, concentrations of power and wealth and environmental degradation if you are a totalitarian, xenophobic fundamentalist.

It's not generalizing. I don't agree with the left's views and practices.

BTW- it's putting words in my mouth I don't agree with, not generalizations. Generalize away.

Rule 11 (Frivilous Suit) and Rule 56 (Summary Judgment) keep "frivilous" lawsuits from ever going to trial.

Has anyone bothered to read about the suit Edwards tried and obtained the $25M verdict????

Go read the fact pattern on that, then come back and tell me that it was an unjust verdict.

"So, how do you feel about the political center?"

When things get murky in da middle it turns to an issue by issue comparison with my own values and views. When dealing with the absolute most liberal law maker in Washington there is little murke to the issues. That is of course until he opens his mouth and starts flip flopping.

The $.50 gas tax?

Where is it?

The Dubya tax "cuts" have reduced revenues raised costs locally and passed the burden of taxation on to the middle and working classes.
MarkO

if they'd introduced the 50 cent taxes then we'd all prolly be driving smaller cars, polluting less, and being less reliant on Saudi Arabian oil - that would be awful.

Here in Maryland auto registration fees have doubled since 1 July.

Federal aid has been reduced and we all get to take up the slack.

Its kinda complicated(sarcasm)

It's incredibly ironic listening to the Bush PR people talk about Edwards being short on experience. We can see how well the Texas governorship prepared Bush for the highest office in the land. Three years into his presidency and he hasn't gotten a clue yet.

Let's put it this way. If my daughter had 3/4 of her intestines sucked out by a pool drain that was defective and the company knew it was defective but counted the beans and tried to settle everything because it was cheaper than correcting the problems, I think $25M wouldn't be excessive for what she would have to live through the rest of her life.

Well it's a pretty well proven theory Nigal. Given time people will look at more economical cars. It's happening now with $2 gas. You could have already been halfway there.
But no, instead of people accepting oil is a finite resource and looking to cut comsumption, all you hear is whining when the gas price goes up. Well maybe it's time to shut-up and actully do someting about it long term, rather than just trying to keep the cost of gas artificially low.
