G.!! “LOL! SEE? SEE? That's what I'm talkin' about! I know the libs are always more open to that lifestyle but they don't have to show it off in public all the time!” 4:26:55 PM 7/14/04 “"LOL! SEE? SEE? That's what I'm talkin' about! I know the libs are always more open to that lifestyle but they don't have to show it off in public all the time!..." Cripes! That's it. I'm voting for those Repubs now. I'll have no homos in office........:P Let's see that Photoshop.....!” 4:31:54 PM 7/14/04 JO “Just use the "Ignore this loser" caption on the little wuss, it works on every thread!!!” 7:29:27 PM 7/14/04 “Got this email from a friend. Don't have any idea if it's true, but it sure wouldn't surprise me. We certainly are going to get what we deserve. Made in Mexico Shortly after reading the following e-mail content, I happened to look at the label of a jar of Heinz sandwich sliced pickles. Yep.... Made in Mexico" Check some of your Heinz products. "Sen. John Kerry keeps talking about U.S. corporations leaving this country and setting up shop in foreign countries, taking thousands of jobs with them. He is right, because that has happened. However, he is trying to blame George W. Bush. As far as I know, Bush has not moved one factory out of this country because he is not the owner of a single factory. That cannot be said about Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz-Kerry. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Kerry's own 32 factories in Europe and 18 in Asia and the Pacific. In addition, their company, the Heinz Company, leases four factories in Europe and four in Asia. Also, they own 27 factories in North America, some of which are in Mexico and the Caribbean. 80% of Heinz products are made overseas. I wonder how many hundreds of American workers lost their jobs when these plants relocated in foreign countries. I also wonder if the workers in Mexico and Asia are paid the same wages and benefits as workers in the United States. Of course they're not. However, Kerry demands that other companies that relocate should pay the same benefits they did in the U.S. Why does he not demand this of the Heinz Company, since he is married to the owner? If Kerry is elected, will he and his wife close all those foreign factories and bring all those jobs back to America? Of course they won't. They're making millions off that cheap labor. Please e-mail to at least 5 people. Thank you and make your vote count.....” 8:32:24 PM 7/14/04 “John Kerry runs the Heinz Corporation?????? Hey, Arc, let's see if you get this concept. I am a small business owner. I make decisions in my business without informing my wife. In other words, I run my business, and she has little to nothing to do with it. Therefore, it would be unfair to blame/praise her for any failures/successes of my business. Can the conservatives grasp this?” 10:46:01 PM 7/14/04 “I have to go with Dunadan on this Kerry has little to do with the Heinz corp. same for his wife although she obviously has stronger ties, but still neither has any involvement in business decisions, As a matter of fact most of their execs are Bush donors. The story has one big problem - Pickles aren't made anywhere they are grown. I've never seen any food with a "made in" label. There's a whole lot not to like about Kerry, but we shouldn't go chasing this BS any more than the liberal's go chasing complete BS about Bush.” 10:51:00 PM 7/14/04 “Thankyou, Bison. Let's let reason win out, if we can.” 10:58:43 PM 7/14/04 “BTW there's a lot more of this same type of BS floating around here about Bush than there is about Kerry, the Bull flows freely around here. My main point is that I have no problem with opinions no matter wild they may be, everyone has'em and everyone's entitled to'em. And of course there are a lot of facts in dispute about issues in this election. But we should be slamming down at every opportunity things that are so outlandishly erroneous.” 11:06:43 PM 7/14/04 “Reason? Absolutely. Picture this concept Dunadan: I'm a political candidate running for office of President of the United States. I take a moral stand to be for "the working man." I criticize the standing President for sending jobs overseas. I take a "moral" stand that it is wrong to send jobs overseas. I tell the whole country that it is wrong to send jobs overseas. Meanwhile, I (or any of my many advisors) don't even bother to check up on what my wife's company position is on this matter. I’m going to tell all the other businesses in the US how to do business, and I don’t care that my wife’s business is doing exactly what I say the current president is doing wrong? Hypocrisy? YOU BETCHA!!! Yes sir, that’s reasonable. Denial…denial…denial…” 6:27:46 AM 7/15/04 “Just to be fair... ”7:59:31 AM 7/15/04 “Bush girls gone wild! Yeah baaaaybay! I think Kerry should do an interview where he takes the cameras on a tour of his estates and let the people deside if he's just an average guy looking out for the little guy.” 9:51:51 AM 7/15/04 “Kerry's not an average guy. He's far above average personally and isn't actively hostile to working class people. Bush isn't an average guy at all... unless you're talking about his mediocre academic record. He's a blueblood that went to the best schools (the best he could get into, anyway... as a legacy). He just sounds and acts like a redneck.” 10:47:33 AM 7/15/04 “"isn't actively hostile to working class people." Tilt 10:47:33 AM 07/15/04 One thing I know from this statement - You've never been around John Kerry for any period of time. He's the bluest of the bluebloods.” 10:51:28 AM 7/15/04 “Brang it on.” 11:01:42 AM 7/15/04 “Like you have? In what capacity, exactly? What sort of republican bootlicker are you, really?” 11:08:48 AM 7/15/04 “I have encountered Kerry a few times when running around the hill making deliveries. I once made a delivery to one of the committee rooms where he was present I had to wait several minutes to to get a signature, during this time a group of pages went over to Kerry, apparently one wanted Kerry's autograph for his mother (I think the kid was a page for a MA congressman). Kerry thought he was signing some document, when the kid asked Kerry to sign it to his mother, he got irate and practically yelled at the kid that he should be working and not bothering Senators. I'm no Republican bootlicker, I happen to agree with Republicans alot more than I do with Democrats. Beleive it or not Tilt I have voted for Democrats several times when I felt they would be best for the job. But now you have some insight into why I won't be voting for John Kerry. I don't think he gives a damn about the working man for any other purpose than politics. And it wasn't the fact of what took place that day that bothered me (maybe he had some hemmorhoids acting up, who knows), It was the absolute pomposity that Kerry showed in brushing the kid off.” 11:25:09 AM 7/15/04 “And Tilt goes down in flames yet again.” 11:44:20 AM 7/15/04 “And somehow you form an opinon on his character based on that exchange and disregard the fact that he was serving in Vietnam while Bush was hiding out in the Texas Air Guard with other politician's children and some football players. Right... you're not a complete partisan. Sorry if I don't buy that line. All of the other comments you make give you away. I don't know if I'm a fully fledged Democrat. I've been continuously appalled by the behavior of representatives of both major parties since I began to actually pay attention about 30 years ago. I don't base my support on any sort of Pie in the Sky. I compare what politicians say with what they do. I tend to 'follow the money'. It's not difficult to see were Bush's backing comes from. BTW -- if you want to compare bluebloods, look up Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Read how his fellow 'bluebloods' reacted to his presidency.” 12:19:54 PM 7/15/04 “I also don't disregard the fact that he came back here after the war and took a big dump on our military (neither do the Vietnam Veterans in my family). Nor do I disregard the fact that 5857 Reserves and Guardsmen were killed in Vietnam.” 12:28:17 PM 7/15/04 “Let's all salute the current Commander and Chief for his outstanding military service!” 1:25:07 PM 7/15/04 “I've heard this 'Kerry is the most liberal and Edwards is the 4th most liberal' meme enough already: 2003: Kerry - 1st (96.5) Edwards - 4th (94.5) 2002: Kerry - 9th (87.3) Edwards - 31st (63.0) Edwards made the centrist list. 2001: Kerry - 11th (87.7) Edwards - 35th (68.2) Edwards almost tied with Lieberman. 2000: Kerry - 20th (77) Edwards - 19th (80.8) Rankings past 20 are not available nor are composite scores for all Senators, so Kerry is 21st or higher. 1999: Kerry - 16th (80.8) Edwards - 31st (72.2) Average: Kerry - 12th (85.9) Edwards - 24th (75.7)” 1:38:37 PM 7/15/04 “"2003: Kerry - 1st (96.5) Edwards - 4th (94.5)" What have you done for me lately? Which org. did you get these numbers from? I'm sure there are many others to choose from.” 1:40:50 PM 7/15/04 “He 'dumped' on the leadership, that's for sure. You really should check out what he really said and did instead of continuously repeating the Republican PR line. Better watch out... Fox News will rot your brain. What was the figure? > 65% of Fox News fans still think Saddam was involved in 9/11? I'm certain those Guardsmen truly gave the last measure of devotion for their country. But George Bush? Do you think there existed even the most remote chance that George and the Champagne Unit were ever in danger of being transferred to Tan Son Nhut? Puh-LEEZE.” 1:45:47 PM 7/15/04 “A. I don't watch foxnews I watch Msnbc. B. They wouldn't have let Bush go over even if he had wanted to go because of his father's position. C. I've seen plenty of what Kerry actually said.” 1:55:04 PM 7/15/04 “HAHaaaa A. Fooled me! LOL B. He could've gone if he'd wanted to. C. Obviously not.” 1:57:05 PM 7/15/04 “I tried to verify the numbers with the National Journal, Bison, but you have to subscribe. I found them at andrewsullivan.com” 2:02:11 PM 7/15/04 “They wouldn't let George go? That's hilarious! Is that why only one out of 535 members of Congress reportedly has a child currently in harm's way? It's a new policy absed on The George Bush Model?” 2:04:51 PM 7/15/04 “I'm sure the numbers are real Violin it was just a question of where they came from. There are a lot of different organizations with their own ratings based on their own definitions of liberal and conservative.” 2:04:55 PM 7/15/04 “So now we get to average out political bent rather than going by what they are doing in the here and now? How weak and shady can ya get! One other thing I find funny is how liberals complain about Bush's working vacations yet say nothing about Kerry not even showing up for work 2/3 of the time. Hell, even a well coddled union worker would have been shltcanned by now for that. John Kerry hates pregnant women!” 2:05:28 PM 7/15/04 “The National Journal is the one that is frequently quoted.” 2:06:56 PM 7/15/04 “Bush's father wasn't a member of congress at the time, he was the US ambassador to the United Nations, one of many positions in the gov't which if you hold they won't let anyone in your family near combat for fear that you will be captured and that would affect policy.” 2:08:09 PM 7/15/04 “"One other thing I find funny is how liberals complain about Bush's working vacations yet say nothing about Kerry not even showing up for work 2/3 of the time......." Seeing as it an election yuear, this point might be able to brought up to about 1/3 rd of the Senate. I wonder how the "Lacy Peterson" was named this, when bill was introduced in 1997? As we all know, this BS of voting down a bill that supported our troops could have contained a poison pill, or other things attached to it that they didn't agree with. Has there been a bill recently introduced that was kept "natural" through it's process? They all attached chit to bills all the time, thus the voting record. Unless you read the bills, one is at a disadvantage to discuss why a person voted the way they did.” 4:51:53 PM 7/15/04 “The thing that Kerry is very capable of is holding two opposing thoughts in his mind at one time. Legislating, as surprising as it might sound, can be complicated, especially taking in to account what Laqtis just mentioned. The name of a bill might make it sound like something you would support, but read the fine print. I would trust Kerry to think matters through, not just react in a knee-jerk fashion. I think GW's overriding agenda, blinding him to all else, has gotten him in big trouble.” 5:38:31 PM 7/15/04 “No.... Bison's not a shill for Bush; he just repeats all the half-truths he hears in attack ads --- If there is such a standing policy (not just something they whipped up for Junior back in the 70s), I'm sure you'll be more than happy to provide a link to a non-partisan source.” 7:25:24 PM 7/15/04 “Please explain a half-truth I've espoused Tilt. Don't cover you're own shilling for Kerry by attacking me. I live in Virginia, no one's runnin' ads here for either side, I have yet to see any attack ads or positive ads for either candidate on tv. The only attack ads I've seen have been on the interenet (mostly msnbc.com and slate.com) and they've all been directed at Bush. And yeah there full of democrat half-truths. Got anything to say about Joe Wilson now Tilt? Don't worry I won't bore you with anything from some news source you'll see as suspect. I found out about his BS tonight on the NBC nightly news, certainly no bastion of conservatism.” 8:15:27 PM 7/15/04 “Has anyone seen the ads Kerry's running that pander to the black vote? Gawd how fricking patronizing. The Congressional Black Caucus isn't too impressed either. So let’s see how he stands according to Violin’s standards… *He hates the troops (voted against the 487 million to supply the troops he voted to send, but only after he voted for it, or was that after he voted against it? I don’t know and I doubt he can remember either. LOL!) *He hates pregnant women (did show for the vote to protect pregnant women against violence…but then again we all know how he feels about protecting the unborn. I guess we could say he hates babies too.) *He hates suvs…wait he loves them…wait his family loves them… *He thinks black people are stupid (these ads are of the lowest denominator towards blacks) *He hates Bush (the fact he’s always kissing and hanging on Edwards makes this clear) *He hates outsourcing (unless of course it bolsters HIS portfolio)” 8:25:41 AM 7/16/04 “"*He hates the troops (voted against the 487 million to supply the troops he voted to send, but only after he voted for it, or was that after he voted against it? I don’t know and I doubt he can remember either. LOL!) *He hates pregnant women (did show for the vote to protect pregnant women against violence…but then again we all know how he feels about protecting the unborn. I guess we could say he hates babies too.)....." Can we clear this up once and for all? I'd like to see a bill number and let's see just what was in those bills. As I pointed out in another thread - how is it possible for a bill to be "named" the Lacy Peterson bill, when it was introduced in '97? I guess that they could've adopted the name after the fact, or is it that some might have started calling it this because it would hurt Kerry? I have no idea either way, I'd just like to see some facts on this. Also, let's see a bill number for that "troop funding" bill. I'd like to see what was in it to make him vote that way. The "I voted for it, before I voted against it" line is always taken out of context in media that I've seen. What was his full explaination for voting the way he did. The reason I ask this is that the "flip-flop" thing is real interesting, as it cuts both ways. HE did have WMD, no he doesn't, yes he does, well, he didn't have them, but the ends justify the means..... What's good for one, should be applied equally to the other.” 8:59:07 AM 7/16/04 “Laqtis - Kerry and Joe Biden sponsored an amendment to the emergency troop funding bill that would have rolled back the tax cut for the top 1% in it's final year as a way to pay for the 87 billion. Bush threatened to veto the entire package if the amendment was left in (and he supports the troops?) Kerry voted for that version. There were still 4 months before the funds were needed when Kerry voted against the fiscally irresponsible bill that Bush wanted so if the political will had been there, there was plenty of time to pass a bill that would include a way to pay for it. The cost will be paid with interest by the middle class rather than asking the wealthiest among us to pay some price (as has been mentioned, very few children of the ruling class are actually serving). I think a president that sends troops into harms way without the proper equipment and without adequate troop levels to secure the peace while slashing veterans benefits looks pretty foolish accusing anyone of not supporting the troops.” 9:40:03 AM 7/16/04 “"The cost will be paid with interest by the middle class rather than asking the wealthiest among us to pay some price (as has been mentioned, very few children of the ruling class are actually serving)......" Interesting, Vi. Is there a way a homey can get a source to this? I'd like to see it. A bill number would do, I guess I could also go over the the sight and find it, but I have to leave for work 5 minutes ago. The reason I pasted your last part of your post, is that I'd like to see where this info came from. If it's your opinion, then that's fine, but if this is fact and it's structured this way, I'll be calling my Senators congressional aides when I get home and give them an ear full. Thanks in advance.” 9:46:42 AM 7/16/04 “"Kerry and Joe Biden sponsored an amendment to the emergency troop funding bill that would have rolled back the tax cut for the top 1% in it's final year as a way to pay for the 87 billion." Well this seems totally fair. Let 1% of the population pay for it? Riiiight…” 9:50:35 AM 7/16/04 “Let's roll back those tax cuts to my company has to start firing people.... Ok, let's not. "I think a president that sends troops into harms way without the proper equipment and without adequate troop levels to secure the peace while slashing veterans benefits looks pretty foolish accusing anyone of not supporting the troops." No, what would have been foolish would have been to fight a static frontal war to take over Iraq with hundreds of thousands of troops. A lot of people convienently forget that Shinseki's model predicted a minimum of 3000 US KIA just to get to Baghdad. We've made it this far on far less.” 10:21:05 AM 7/16/04 “Motion to Table Biden Amdt. No. 1796 or Congress likely to pass White House 87 billion Iraq request ‘Reckless’ and ‘Irresponsible?’” 10:22:57 AM 7/16/04 “Your boss would fire people if his personal income taxes were scheduled to go back up? You work for an idiot - get out now!” 10:30:25 AM 7/16/04 “No I work for a person who has personal investment in his company - Like most business owners do, and could not afford to finance the companies expansion if he had to pay more taxes.” 10:32:22 AM 7/16/04 “"company's expansion"” 10:32:58 AM 7/16/04 “And Violin has a degree in economics? Where from University of Phoenix’s on-line program?” 10:38:38 AM 7/16/04 “So where's the link to the official policy that keeps baby politicians out of harm's way? Tell us another one.” 10:41:43 AM 7/16/04 “Find it yourself Tilt... My grandfather was one of the officers who worked on a panel that formulated a new policy for the Air Force during Vietnam.... Such policies have existed going back to the civil war. Before you try kicking it back at people try doing your homework.” 10:46:21 AM 7/16/04 “I looked. Tell us another one.” 11:04:21 AM 7/16/04 Jump to Page << prev
