content, I happened to look
at the label of a jar of Heinz sandwich sliced
pickles. Yep.... Made in Mexico"

Check some of your Heinz products. "Sen. John
Kerry keeps talking about U.S. corporations leaving
this country and setting up shop in foreign
countries, taking thousands of jobs with them.
He is right, because that has happened.
However,
he is trying to blame George W. Bush. As far as I
know, Bush has not moved one factory out of this
country because he is not the owner of a single
factory. That cannot be said about Kerry and his
wife, Teresa Heinz-Kerry. According to the Wall Street
Journal, the Kerry's own 32 factories in Europe and
18 in Asia and the Pacific.
In addition, their company, the Heinz Company,
leases four factories in Europe and four in Asia.
Also, they own 27 factories in North America, some of
which are in Mexico and the Caribbean. 80% of Heinz
products are made overseas. I wonder how many
hundreds of American workers lost their jobs when
these plants relocated in foreign countries. I also
wonder if the workers in Mexico and Asia are paid the
same wages and benefits as workers in the United
States. Of course they're not. However, Kerry demands
that other companies that relocate should pay the same
benefits they did in the U.S. Why does he not demand
this of the Heinz Company, since he is married to the
owner? If Kerry is elected, will he and his wife close
all those foreign factories and bring all those jobs
back to America? Of course they won't. They're making
millions off that cheap labor. Please e-mail to at
least 5 people.

“I have encountered Kerry a few times when running around the hill making deliveries. I once made a delivery to one of the committee rooms where he was present I had to wait several minutes to to get a signature, during this time a group of pages went over to Kerry, apparently one wanted Kerry's autograph for his mother (I think the kid was a page for a MA congressman). Kerry thought he was signing some document, when the kid asked Kerry to sign it to his mother, he got irate and practically yelled at the kid that he should be working and not bothering Senators.

I'm no Republican bootlicker, I happen to agree with Republicans alot more than I do with Democrats. Beleive it or not Tilt I have voted for Democrats several times when I felt they would be best for the job. But now you have some insight into why I won't be voting for John Kerry. I don't think he gives a damn about the working man for any other purpose than politics. And it wasn't the fact of what took place that day that bothered me (maybe he had some hemmorhoids acting up, who knows), It was the absolute pomposity that Kerry showed in brushing the kid off.”

I don't know if I'm a fully fledged Democrat. I've been continuously appalled by the behavior of representatives of both major parties since I began to actually pay attention about 30 years ago.

I don't base my support on any sort of Pie in the Sky. I compare what politicians say with what they do. I tend to 'follow the money'. It's not difficult to see were Bush's backing comes from.

As we all know, this BS of voting down a bill that supported our troops could have contained a poison pill, or other things attached to it that they didn't agree with. Has there been a bill recently introduced that was kept "natural" through it's process? They all attached chit to bills all the time, thus the voting record. Unless you read the bills, one is at a disadvantage to discuss why a person voted the way they did.”

I live in Virginia, no one's runnin' ads here for either side, I have yet to see any attack ads or positive ads for either candidate on tv. The only attack ads I've seen have been on the interenet (mostly msnbc.com and slate.com) and they've all been directed at Bush. And yeah there full of democrat half-truths.

Can we clear this up once and for all? I'd like to see a bill number and let's see just what was in those bills. As I pointed out in another thread - how is it possible for a bill to be "named" the Lacy Peterson bill, when it was introduced in '97? I guess that they could've adopted the name after the fact, or is it that some might have started calling it this because it would hurt Kerry? I have no idea either way, I'd just like to see some facts on this.

Also, let's see a bill number for that "troop funding" bill. I'd like to see what was in it to make him vote that way. The "I voted for it, before I voted against it" line is always taken out of context in media that I've seen. What was his full explaination for voting the way he did.

The reason I ask this is that the "flip-flop" thing is real interesting, as it cuts both ways. HE did have WMD, no he doesn't, yes he does, well, he didn't have them, but the ends justify the means.....

The cost will be paid with interest by the middle class rather than asking the wealthiest among us to pay some price (as has been mentioned, very few children of the ruling class are actually serving).
