I stopped by a hunting supply store that had a small camping section. I was looking for a little pouch that I could put a map and compass in that I could hang from my shoulder straps.

I found the neatest mesh gear vest. It is only the front pieces of a vest that attaches to the shoulder straps. It has lots of room and is very light weight. I put a water bottle in it, compass, map, my gloves, snacks and I could get to all of them without taking off my pack.

It is an old Peak 1 design.

A little much don't you guys think?
The hang tag on these panties boasts: "17 countries. 6 weeks. And one pair of underwear." After a 5-day trip in these antimicrobial nylon briefs, we are believers. We never took them off, and they still didn't stink. We also appreciated the highly breathable, quick-drying fabric and comfortable fit. And unlike other bikini briefs, which can run small, the right-on sizing of these eliminated butt-crawl and other fit problems. The cut is high on the legs for easy movement, making them ideal for running and backpacking.
