Boortz is a classic neo-Fascist, firmly in the pocket of the oligarchs who own America.” 9:45:54 AM 7/01/05 “ ”9:58:24 AM 7/01/05 “Mmmmmmm Ann Coulter.....dreaammmmmyyyyy” 10:18:01 AM 7/01/05 Lovin every minute of it! “ ”10:38:08 AM 7/01/05 Ah, Oh ! “Supreme Court Justice O'Connor retires By James Vicini 23 minutes ago WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, the first woman on the U.S. Supreme Court and a moderate conservative who often controlled the outcome on abortion and other issues, announced her retirement on Friday, setting the stage for a major political battle over her successor.” 12:30:05 PM 7/01/05 “Is that taken at your home Phaedrus?” 12:46:26 PM 7/01/05 “If neither of those two are gagged and bound, then no, it wasn't in my house.” 12:49:59 PM 7/01/05 “that picture was taken 3 seconds before they ate each others faces” 12:50:27 PM 7/01/05 “Nigal, I used to sleep with the patch on. It sure can be a wild experience!” 12:51:12 PM 7/01/05 “i dont see what the big deal is about sleeping with the patch on. youve got your eyes closed and the room is dark, you cant see anything anyways” 12:53:41 PM 7/01/05 “"Boortz is a classic neo-Fascist" Boob Smith Just look at some of his “Fascist” positions: Government should not censor speech, press, media or Internet Military service should be voluntary. There should be no draft There should be no laws regarding sex for consenting adults Repeal laws prohibiting adult possession and use of drugs End "corporate welfare." No government handouts to business There should be no National ID card Yo, Boob, so if a “neo-Fascist” believes in those things, does a “liberal” believe that government should censor speech, the press, the internet? There should be a mandatory draft? Homosexuals shouldn’t be allowed to marry? People should be thrown in jail for marijuana? Government should subsidize business? We should all carry our government registration papers? Government has the right to seize your private property for the good of the state? Government should have legal immunity for polluting the environment? Man, I am so confused about how some folks perceive the world around them.” 4:11:54 PM 7/01/05 “sounds like libertarian positions straight down the line” 4:20:38 PM 7/01/05 “of course, actions speak louder than words (positions). does he live up to those ideals in his public service?” 4:22:52 PM 7/01/05 “no response typical j/k i was just channeling somebody” 5:50:10 PM 7/01/05 “Watch it c!b! I'll channel you!” 5:51:16 PM 7/01/05 Libertarians. “Libertarians are just new fascists. "I've got mine, everyone else is screwed. Greed is good." Yep. Passes the smell test for Fascism 6.0.” 7:24:36 PM 7/01/05 “whats with everyone picking on librarians? Man, they are just doing thier job!” 9:30:00 PM 7/01/05 “I can dig it!” 10:59:12 AM 7/02/05 “Left-right....why bother...” 2:00:21 PM 7/02/05 2:11:43 PM 7/02/05 “The Bush Butcher’s Bill: Officially, 72 US Military Deaths in Iraq from 2 through 25 May, 2005 – Official Total of 1,735 US Dead to date (and rising) U.S. Military Personnel who died in German hospitals or en route to German hospitals have not previously been counted. They total about 6,210 as of 1 January, 2005. The ongoing, underreporting of the dead in Iraq, is not accurate. The DoD is deliberately reducing the figures. A review of many foreign news sites show that actual deaths are far higher than the newly reduced ones. Iraqi civilian casualties are never reported but International Red Cross, Red Crescent and UN figures indicate that as of 1 January 2005, the numbers are just under 100,000. by Brian Harring, Domestic Intelligence Reporter Note: There is excellent reason to believe that the Department of Defense is deliberately not reporting a significant number of the dead in Iraq. We have received copies of manifests from the MATS that show far more bodies shipped into Dover AFP than are reported officially. The educated rumor is that the actual death toll is in excess of 7,000. Given the officially acknowledged number of over 15,000 seriously wounded, this elevated death toll is far more realistic than the current 1,400+ now being officially published. When our research is complete, and watertight, we will publish the results along with the sources In addition to the evident falsification of the death rolls, at least 5,500 American military personnel have deserted, most in Ireland but more have escaped to Canada and other European countries, none of whom are inclined to cooperate with vengeful American authorities. (See TBR News of 18 February for full coverage on the mass desertions) This means that of the 158,000 U.S. military shipped to Iraq, 26,000 either deserted, were killed or seriously wounded. The DoD lists currently being very quietly circulated indicate almost 9,000 dead, over 16,000 seriously wounded and a large number of suicides, forced hospitalization for ongoing drug usage and sales, murder of Iraqi civilians and fellow soldiers , rapes, courts martial and so on – Brian Harring Haven’t we had enough of this?” 7:00:56 PM 7/02/05 “There seems to be no limit of lies the left will create to further their cause. What is their cause, anyway?” 8:51:27 PM 7/02/05 9:06:03 PM 7/02/05 “Press Reports on U.S. Casualties: About 17,000 Short, UPI Says By Mark Benjamin, UPI Published: September 15, 2004 NEW YORK (UPI) Nearly 17,000 service members medically evacuated from Iraq and Afghanistan are absent from public Pentagon casualty reports commonly cited by newspapers, according to military data reviewed by United Press International. Most don't fit the definition of casualties, according to the Pentagon, but a veterans' advocate said they should all be counted. The Pentagon has reported 1,019 dead and 7,245 wounded from Iraq. The military has evacuated 16,765 individual service members from Iraq and Afghanistan for injuries and ailments not directly related to combat, according to the U.S. Transportation Command, which is responsible for the medical evacuations. Most are from Operation Iraqi Freedom. http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1000630846” 9:13:07 PM 7/02/05 “Neuharth Calls For U.S. Withdrawal from Iraq, Says Bush 'Lied' By E&P Staff Published: July 01, 2005 10:50 AM ET NEW YORK USA Today founder Al Neuharth, who caused a stir last year when -- a bit ahead of the curve -- he told E&P that he favored a U.S. withdrawal from Iraq, re-iterated his position Friday, with even more force. “I'm convinced the best way to support our troops in Iraq is to bring them home. Sooner rather than later,” Neuharth, a Bronze Star winner in World War II, declared. He also compared President Bush to President Lyndon B. Johnson, saying that both presidents “lied to us in wartime.” Neuharth added, in his weekly column Friday in the newspaper he founded: “The crucial difference between Vietnam and Iraq is that there is no Cronkite to call Bush's bluff. Without a strong, trusted, non-political voice, too many of us remain Bush-blinded. Bush tried keeping the wool over our eyes again Tuesday on national TV by repeatedly tying Iraq to 9/11. That charge is as phony as his discredited prewar claim that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction.” Pointing to his own experience, Neuharth wrote: “Most of us who have had personal war experiences strongly believe this great country is worth fighting for at risk of lives. My World War II Bronze Star and Combat Infantryman's Badge on the wall behind my desk remind me of that daily. "They also remind me that war is hell, that we must fully support our servicemen and women and put their lives at risk only for honest and just and noble causes.”” 9:16:04 PM 7/02/05 “CNN and other sources have a running tally of the dead. Are you such an idiot that you think parents who have lost their children haven't noticed they aren't on the list. Duh!” 9:26:04 PM 7/02/05 Good Grief “If you keep repeating a lie long enough people will believe it. Who said that? It was probably someone who was afraid of the truth.” 9:43:43 PM 7/02/05 “We live in a democracy. How did catskhiker fall into such a vacuum?” 9:54:43 PM 7/02/05 “When soldiers are shipped off to German hospitals they are not counted as dying in IRAQ. I also suggest you visit some German & DC military hospitals to see large numbers of missing limbs, eyes, etc. Do you think people will start getting outraged over the war for 1700 dead? They will & are over the larger numbers. We all believe our Gov would never lie to us, right?” 8:12:54 AM 7/03/05 “Good lord, you can't keep track of the players without a score card. Sorry, Boob. I didn't realize you were a troll. “of course, actions speak louder than words (positions). does he live up to those ideals in his public service?” Crash Bang Do you really think that deserves a response? Just how perfect are you (in your own mind of course), Crash Bang? Do you believe that all economic policies put forth by the Democrats help the poor? Drivel.” 6:23:49 AM 7/05/05 “The better question is: "Do you believe any of the economic policies put forth by the Republicans are motivated by helping the poor?"” 1:53:01 PM 7/05/05 “To chili36, YES, do believe that some of the Repub policies better serve the poor. Here's why: Unless we live in a socialist state, which we do not, everyone has, to some extent, be responsible for their own well-being & standard of living. By creating an environment where you are rewarded for your creativity, hard work & effort, you are more in control of your own destiny than if you depend upon the state for your well being. The sense of accomplishment and the resulting financial rewards flowing to those who exhibit these qualities provide an opportunity for ANY and ALL who want to succeed. That is a positive, motivating scenario which most in third world countries can only dream of. We are FREE, FREE to succeed, and be more in control of our own futures! As an example, if we want to create a more positive environment in which to raise our children, all we need to is put forth the effort to do so, and we can do it! What better possible (sustainabale) situation could you possibly ask for?” 2:48:42 PM 7/05/05 “LOL - you funny Wanderer.” 2:57:04 PM 7/05/05 “I know a poor couple. The wife has been caring for their severely disabled daughter for about 35 years. He took a serious fall at work and really messed up his back and broke both legs so they are disfigured and walking is difficult. These leaches just take, take, take from our system and don’t seem to be motivated by the wonderful freedom of opportunity this land has to offer.” 2:59:31 PM 7/05/05 “What can you possibly disagree with Y2?” 2:59:52 PM 7/05/05 “Who could possibly be selfish enough to be upset that some of their tax dollars go to provide minimal sustenance to people like this?” 3:00:04 PM 7/05/05 “I didn't say that we shouldn't have a very solid "safety net" for those whom misfortune falls upon. I am a huge believer in ensuring that these people don't "fall between the cracks". That is not at all incongruent with believing in the obvious benefits of a free-market system where hard work is rewarded. last edited: 7/05/05 3:02:56 PM” 3:02:20 PM 7/05/05 “That the Rebublican policies don't really help the poor - they just tryto convince them that they do. Their tax policies, for example, have been targetted at too small a group, the very rich. They need to be spread more evenly through the economy. A growth in the size and wealth of the middle class is what provides sustained growth - and these are the groups that should have been better targetted. Instead you have a series of policies more designed to bring in greater political contributions come the next election time, to help continue the spin that Bush - or whoever his successors may be - is helping the poor.” 3:04:35 PM 7/05/05 “Then you might want to qualify your earlier statement, wanderer. last edited: 7/05/05 3:06:34 PM” 3:06:06 PM 7/05/05 “Which part of my earlier statement sugests that there should be no social saftey net? I would be more than happy to modify / qualify my position if I said anything that suggests I am not in favor of basic human rights for all, or our government, throuh our taxes, providing a standard of living that accords basic human dignity.” 3:12:51 PM 7/05/05 “Your post of 2:48:42 PM” 3:16:04 PM 7/05/05 “The question was "which part" of my post? I don't believe that a belief in rewarding performance is mutually exclusive of believing in the obvious social / humanistic benfits & obligations of providing a social safety net? It's not necessarily "either / or", we can have both!” 3:19:20 PM 7/05/05 “Right. But that's not what you said.” 3:21:30 PM 7/05/05 “Then I wasn't complete in my post. Thank you for allowing me to clarify my position. last edited: 7/05/05 3:24:21 PM” 3:23:53 PM 7/05/05 “Strive to be a sheep, not a goat.” 3:24:07 PM 7/05/05 “V: In all seriousness, I don't get this: "Strive to be a sheep, not a goat" What do you intend that to mean?” 3:33:07 PM 7/05/05 “Sheep are warm and fuzzy, goats are ill-tempered eating machines.” 3:35:34 PM 7/05/05 “Thanks BM, So, in this series of posts, where was I an ill-tempered eating machine?” 3:39:46 PM 7/05/05
