“That was pretty much my intent in going to the fair dayhiker. Pretty much I have to take like a 2 week training course, take my state CAN exam and THEN go knocking on doors. Some of the hospitals would do the training with a signed contract. I’d prefer to drop the $400 and be able to take my training where I want to go.

Good luck in your search Nigal! I'm looking right now too. I might have an interview for a contract position at Washington Mutual. The WAMU Tower is a beautiful building downtown Seattle. The pay is great and the commute is an improvement. The job itself is ok. I'm more excited about working downtown in a beautiful building and making $1500 more a month. LOL!”

The skys the limit for male Nurses, he says. Affirmative action works for the males in Nursing big time.

He changed careers in his early 40s. He went from a guy with a BA in Business and being a small business owner to a male Nurse after he sold his business. He did go back to school for a couple of years.

They have full tuition reimbursment, so I can finish my MBA for free too! The pay is $10K more than I make now and it's close to home.
