oops
My own Wander Women club (Men NOT excluded) does a lot of things...
Is Pinetop where you will be living?
If so... The Mogollon Rim isn't far. There's the Arizona Trail.
You're 150 miles from Flagstaff (Mt. Humphreys), 240 from the Grand Canyon. and 200 from Prescott (ME!)
Gotta be lots stuff near you. And there is so much National Forest land...

GAWD, I LOVE ARIZONA!!!

Good luck getting settled in!

Pinetop is in or at least very near the White Mountains in eastern Arizona maybe 50 miles from New Mexico. Pretty country--big ponderosa pines. MP

Arizona is pretty close to California - hopefully, we can get both states together for a hike.
