Twinks...water can be had via the Batsto River which runs paralell to the trail for the most part....in fact if you stay at the Lower Forge backcountry area...it'll be right there...make sure you bring a filter...the water in most places is cedar water...

New Jersey Wildfire: Flares Ignite Pine Barrens In Jersey Wildfire

New Jersey Wildfire - A wildfire that is raging in the pine barrens of New Jersey is only 10% contained at the moment. The fire, which is believed to have been ignited by an F-16 flare forced the evacuation of 2,500 homes in southern New Jersey and has consumed about 12,000 acres last night.
Officials estimated 18,000 acres have burned in all. The fire began yesterday afternoon and has been fanned by winds gusting up to 30 mph, and officials fear that high winds expected to today could spread the blaze even farther.

Bert Plante, a New Jersey Forest Fire Service division fire warden, said "We're hoping that goes up rapidly overnight. ... It's a crapshoot if we can keep damage under 15,000 acres. The fire is still very active because of the wind."”
