“Just got back from Bill's house. over the past couple of days, Bill's been fighting some kind of "crud". Tonight we rehursed with him not being able to sing. He's taking a antibiotic to clear his lungs so we'll see how he is in two days. He's feeling fine accept for the #&%!$ in his lungs. It's hard to sing a cough at the same time.

Worst case sinerio will be us up there just playing with no vocals. I know nobody wants to hear me trying to sing. *Very Bad!*
We plan to play it by ear and see how it goes.

If for some reason he gets worse (doubtful), I can get up there alone and just jam out against a drum machine. Should be entertaining for awhile any way.

We plan to get together tommorrow and play again. I'll give yall another update afterwards.”

I'm not tone deaf. I just can't get the right sound to come out of my mouth. My vocal cords are the problem. They don't cooperate.


I'm looking foward to seeing everyone tommorrow night! We've got about 17 songs ready to play. We took all of our accustic tunes and anything mellow off the list so be ready to ROCK! But sorry Trekkngirl, not all night. :(”

“Just got back from the gig. WD and his buddy Bill were great! I got there a little late, as traffic on US231 was a little heavy through Shelbyville, but they hadn't started yet so it didn't matter. Also there were yam, Pennsy, trekkngirl, MDSHiker, and Susan's brother Steve. After a while, Susan showed up, and embear a little later than that. We sat around, listened to WD groove, talked and took pictures. Pennsy took a lot of pictures with gigantic Nikon of his. Boy, talk about giving a guy camera envy! All I had to show was Canon Powershot A40. I did get a few good pics which I haven't uploaded yet...and I have a special treat which I will reveal later!

Pennsy's camera did give us one good funny moment though. Right at the end of one song, Pennsy took a picture of the people at the table, and unfortunately poor yam looked at the camera just as the flash went off. The song ended just as she said "OW!" loud enough to be heard throughout the place. Yah, that's what every musician wants to hear at the end of a song, "OW!"...

When it got around 10:00, the people who were camping at Stone Fort SP decided to head thataway, and I decided to cut out too. WD gave some directions for TN840, which shaved a lot of time off on my return trip. Thanks again, WD!

I wish I could have joined them for a while at the campsite, but my allergies wouldn't have permitted it. I also wish I could be with them at the Giz tomorrow, but that's not possible either. But I did have a good time tonight!

We had a ball up there playing. It still wasn't a note perfect performance but I felt like it Rocked anyway.

Also, I'm being slightly frustrated in my attempts to post my "surprise" so it may be another day or so before I can do this.

“I just got home and this weekend was well worth the long drive. Walkindude and Bill kicked major ass. FB2 rocks! WD, your stuff on the CDs is great, but seeing it live made it extra special. Thanks for putting on a great show.

It was great meeting 2 new TT'ers, Bitpusher, Embear, and WD's special lady, Susan. Sorry you couldn't hike with us Bit. After the show, Yam, MDShiker, Trekkngirl, Embear had a fun time camping out at Old Stone Fort. Believe it or not, we did NOT disturb the other campers.

Sunday, the fab 5 met up with Walkindude and had an awesome day on the Fiery Gizzard. I can see why Trekkngirl says it is one of her favorite trails.

I'd post a bit more but I got some unpacking to do. Yuck. A verrrrry special thanks goes to Yam for putting up with me this weekend. I never realized that "camping" between a swimming pool and a dumpster could be so much fun. :o) You rock Yam!

“yam, pick up a copy of PaintShop or PhotoShop. Actually, just about any photoediting software should have a "resize image" function...the pics I uploaded to webshots last night were originally 1600x1200, and I used the "resize image" function in PhotoShop to reduce them to 1152x864, then when I saved them (to a different directory) I used a 10% compression factor. This reduced the bytesize of the pictures from about a megabyte each to around 250KB, a quarter of the original bytesize.

“...is gonna have to wait even longer. I can't get the camera drivers to work properly on my work computer, believe it or not. All the diagnostics say the camera is working fine, but it doesn't show up in the device list, and I can't get the pics off of it. I may go at lunch to Best Buy or Circuit City and pick up a CF reader and see if I can get that to work.”
