ok, good answer.

I have been using a waterbased seam sealer that has worked extremely well for me.

Seam grip is urethane, not silicon.

Silnet is what you need.

Urethane is not silicone-based.

You need to use Silnet.

It would be nice if StoveStomper would jump in here and post what he used.

I bet it was Silnet though.

so youre saying i should use silnet?

no home-made solution of super-glue and tar?

Ahhh...since it seems you don't like what bitpusher has recommended, just go to Home Depot and get one of those great big tubes of clear silicone caulk. That should work.

Why bother with a tent when a giant plastic bag would do. You could breathe through a big straw.

or maybe that stuff they wrap music cd's in

GE Silicone II, in a caulk tube, mixed with a little mineral spirits and brushed on all seams and in a squiggly pattern on the floor to keep you from sliding around. It's easiest to mix it in a small glass jar in small amounts and use disposable acid brushes from the hardware store. Been there, done that,

Somehow, I have this feeling that the next time I see bitpusher on the trail, he will have a "silnet" sponsor patch on his pack.

I can see it now, before long, bitpusher will look like NASCAR driver, covered in promo patches.

I have a question. My tent manufacturer instructions say to use a urethane based sealer. Should I use Silnet?
