Aaaawww... thanks you guys! I've missed you too... the joys of *gasp* no internet!!
Well... lets see... you all know I moved further north in Alberta than I was, right? I've been in Lac La Biche (which means 'Lake of the Deer' roughly translated) for the past 20 months working on the am-bu-lance and loving the great outdoors - no mountains, but lots of wildlife (bear, deer, moose, coyote and even a cougar) and backpacking and fishing.... oh yeah... and snow!

I think I belong to the TTers Injured list now though... I blew out some ligaments in my knee back in October playing with my dog of all things! MRI in 2 weeks, ortho surgeon visit in a month and then who the heck knows after that. :-(

I see by the threads that some of you made it up to the cool side of the border ;-P It serves me right for being gone so long that I missed a Yoho trip of all things! Grrr....

In any case... if you wanna waste time & see the thriving metropolis I now live in, here's the town website www.laclabicheregion.ab.ca

In any case, it's good to be back!!!!! :o)

Hey there ski! Whacha been up to lately? Lac La Biche isn't bad... of course they only show you the pretty side of it, not the rundown buildings or drunks standing on the street corner downtown waiting for the bar to reopen in the morning! We're pretty much surrounded by native reserves and metis(part native, part european) settlements which allows us to have a slightly different set of problems than your typical small community. The joys of socio-economic diversity, huh? ;->
