Are you using Webshots Desktop? I have very few problems uploading with this handy tool. You can upload and rearrange photos quickly.

Webshots Desktop is what I use and I never have problems.

Sass - go to the webshots homepage and click "Download Webshots Free". It's an awesome, user-friendly program for uploading, arranging and re-arranging your pics.

I love that you can view your favorite member's albums right from there, too.

I'm thinking Webshots can kiss my ass. Someone recommended Kodakgallery.com to me. I have no delete/rearrange/thumbnail issues and I can link photos!

bearmagnet.... Webshots does kinda suck, but using the thumbnail link thing is easy. Do you have a WS album?

I have WS albums. What I meant was when I delete/rearrange photos the thumbnail shows the "new" photo but when I click on it the photo that was deleted or moved appears. Sometimes the deletion occurs in my file on my desktop and not in the WS album.

It's starting to really piss me off. I might look into photobucket.

Yea, the SOB's keep "improving" the site and it's worse then before. If you don't mind paying, SmugMug seems really nice.

My best pal uses Snapfish. She likes it alot. The presentation of your pictures is nice but I hate that I have to join and log-in everytime she wants me to see a picture.

Sass, my cousin uses Snapfish too and likes it a lot. I agree that it's a pain to have to join and log in everytime you view, but I just give fake info and it still lets me see the pics. Heck, I have to log in to Webshots to view my own photos.

My beef with Webshots is that they seem to have throttled their bandwidth for non-paying users. When I go to try to view someone's Webshots galleries, it seems slower that dialup.

True that NC. I can remember my password for webshots though. =D

I remember mine too, but for Snapfish I just make up a new one every time, lol.

I finally have come to the conclusion that there are too many passwords in this world and they all need a little book to live in.

Flickr
I just switched to Flickr. I'm in the process of moving all of my photos over, retitling them, adding tags, building sets.

You can hotlink your pictures from there like the one above. Once you upload your picture they create 5 copies of it each a different size for hotlinking. If you buy the pro account $2/mo or $24/year you get

1. 2GB uploads per month
2. Unlimited storage
3. Unlimited sets or albums
4. Permanent archving of photos
5. Unlimited bandwidth
6. No ads (in fact they only run ads on the free service if there is a lot of bandwidth usage for the month)

My favorite feature is the ability of photos to exist in multiple albums without uploading them multiple times. So I can upload one photo and put it in as many albums as I want. They also have a tool that lets you make free flash animations of your picts or web banners. I checked out all the popular online web albums before buying and I liked Flickr the best. Check it out.

bear - I dunno, and I'm unwilling to pay to find out.

I guess I need to look for a new site.

flickr looks promising. I definitly don't want to buy Webshots service only to discover the problems still exist. I might stay if I could hotlink.

Cool Bison. Do you have a link for pics. I remember at one point I was 250 for midwest pics. That was before I stopped paying for my premium account.

I use webshots for my own postings but have frankly never ordered prints from them. That was what you were asking was it not?

I use Webshots, but I've never ordered prints either.

We did find a local camera shop that offered their own download and print service. My wife likes it because she can upload the photos to their site and pick up the photos on her way home from work. Prices are good too.

I would assume the prints are as good as the pics let them be depending on resolution and initial quality.
