An actual hiking thread!
Yeah, I know it's a short notice...

Dayhike this Saturday (March 13) from Furnace Creek campsite (on Reservoir Road) to Pulpit Rock, then on to the famous Pinnacle on the AT (purported to be the best vista on the AT in Pennsylvania). This area is new for me. At least one of my hiking friends will accompany me. We plan to start from the Furnace Creek parking area at 10:00 AM. Weather forecast is sunny skies and temps in the low 40s. Anyone else is welcome to join. Lemme know.

Going to nearby Cabela's store after the hike.

That sounds like a great hike Mister M, and thanks for the invite but I'll be in the Poconos taking a wilderness first aid first.

Pennsy,

Can anything good come from the Poconos? ;-)

*INCOMING!!!*

Have fun, Pennsy. And don't go breakin' yer leg there.

Mapleleaf: Sparky is getting too old, and has some physical problems that prevent him from rigorous hiking. :-(
Enjoy your company from Arizona.

Umm, I miss hiking with you too MSilver. But I can't be there tomorrow due to the fact that I will be up to my windowsills in girlscout cookie boxes. Transfatty acids anyone?

The Do-Si-Does or the chocolate covered ones named Tag-A-Longs? Whichever, you can have them!
