Problems with Webshots?

I use netscape most of the time. I love the taps, firefox has them too.

Only reason I use IE is if a website asks for it.”

“I had problems with webshots yesterday and this morning but it's working now. Must of been a site problem.”

servers and increasing the amount of traffic we can handle. One of the
drawbacks to this is that there will be temporary outages, like the one

and my start page is listing "new" photos on albums that I haven't added anything to.

I may have to check out paiges page.”

I do like the new look thou. They have to change their old style with all the new ones coming out....like yahoo's new photo site.

i just checked...the favorite members aren't gone. If you go into your account and click on favorite memberes, then click on who has you listed as favorites....everything is still there...so they just working on the page...

CLICK on "FAVORITE MEMBERS"!!!!!

you will see: NOTHING!!! It will say "
You have not yet selected any Favorite Members.

RIGHT????

That's okay...because now you look for the little tinny link to the right that says "WHO HAS LISTED ME AS FAVORITE?"

That's the link you wanna click...

You'll see that everyone has still listed you. meaning....the favorites aren't gone...or this would be empty too.

“When I got back from my class this weekend I had nothing but problems. I couldn't create an album, when I finally got that to work (after an hour) It downloaded the pictures in the wrong order and for the last two days when I tried to change them, it doesn't take. I wont mention how long it takes to load a page.

I sent three different emails to support and have yet to hear anything.”

“The problem I was noticing seems to be solved now.

Actually, I've had not all that much trouble with them over the years. There are occasional glitches, but all in all they've worked OK for me.”

“I constantly have problems. Sometimes it won't create an album, sometimes it won't upload photos, sometimes it uploads them in random order, sometimes it says the album was created and the photos were uploaded but they never show up.........”

“I have been thinking about switching to Smugmug when my Webshots comes up for renewal. I will give Webshots till then to decide. The Smugmug site is pretty nice.

Here is part of the letter I got from Webshots.....

We know that photo uploads have been slow, especially during peak traffic times. And we know that some features have not been working properly, such as changing the order your albums appear in and making changes in your account. We also know that some of you have experienced pages not being found in the album creation process.

Over the last several weeks, we've made a lot of technical improvements to allow for a faster and more reliable experience, and we have more improvements in the works.

We're also working on some new features that we'll be releasing before the end of the year. Soon, you'll have the ability to add a picture of yourself to your member homepage. You'll also be able to add any Webshots photo as a favorite so you can go back and check it out again and share your favorite photos with your friends and family.

We know how important your photos are to you, and we apologize for any frustration our recent upgrades have caused........"

Things were working better today from what I can tell. I did a lot of work on three of my albums. Couldn't imagine switching everything to a new website...not until I retire.”

Uploads freeze up or fail. Pages take forever to load or totally fail to load. Are other people having these same problems?

what I really love over at smugmugs [besides the customize options] is that I can add links to the album description. This way I can add a link to my trip reports to each album.
