home made gearheads?View Messages“Considering the name of that thing, don't think I'd have thought that was a can opener unless you told me.” 8:29:52 PM 5/28/07 “In as much as it removes any stiffening of the rim along with the lid and bead I am not sure how useful it would be. The name is the brand name for a very well known company in glucose control meters as well... so I was ... huh? at first too.” 8:51:53 PM 5/28/07 “It only requires the use of one hand.” 8:56:19 PM 5/28/07 “I have something similar that I use for fosters cans... "Safe Cut" can opener. Works well on large beer cans but not so well on pop cans, Red Bull cans, etc. The radius is too sharp and the metal too thin. I would be intersted to know if this opener works on pop cans. The one I have doesn't remove the rim so the can still has the support of this material. It is designed to not leave and sharp edges on the can or lid. You can actually put the lid back on the can and it looks almost like it was never opened.” 6:33:07 AM 5/29/07 “I just made an emergancy survival landard out of paracord and i put some stuff like a knife and compass on it.” 6:50:33 PM 3/06/08 “anyone out there have expirience making dog jackets?
