I came up with this recipe
because I am lacking in
culinary skills. I purchase
the items at our local Kroger
store.

1 can Margret Holmes
Pepper 'n' peas

2 cans Trappeys
Jalapeno Black Eye Peas

1 can Kroger - Black Beans

1 can Progresso
Hearty Black Bean (soup)

2 cans Red Gold
Diced Tomatoes -Southwestern

2 cans Veg.all
Hot'n Spicey Mixed Vegetables

2 cans Del Monte - Fiesta Corn
(whole kernel sweet with red
and green peppers)

2 boxes Kroger
frozen sliced okra

3 small yellow squash - slice

1 8" zucchini squash - slice

8 - 10 large mushrooms - slice

two 1/4" thick slices from
large red onion - slice & dice

Empty and place items in a
large stewer.
Bring to boil for 5-10 minutes.
Lower temperature and allow
to cook 30-35 minutes.

This can be served over rice.

That sounds pretty good. Ever try dehydrating it?

no I have not .... I just read the
recipe that danababy put up,
that's why I posted mine ....

What do you think? Would it
dehydrate?

I think it would take a while, but yes, it would dehydrate. Is it really watery, or more of a thick stew?

It's pretty thick. Reminds me
of a gumbo. I usually add
several jalapeno peppers
diced real small for my taste.
I don't include them in the
recipe. I don't want to light
anyone up. lol

It would probably dehydrate pretty good then, but you'd have to use tray liners or a leather-making tray to hold what liquid is in there while it's dehydrating.
