“We used to catch snappers by accident when illegally setting lines for catfish. Take a piece of fishing line, tie one end to a tree, put a hook on the other end, put some old rotten meat on the hook and throw it in the river. Never fails. Since these were ill gotten gains, we'd cut their heads off, wait til dark and leave them on the Game Warden's door step. I'm assuming he was grateful because they were always gone the next day.
