Help me find this place please. - Utah
This rock formation is in Utah somewhere between the Canyonlands and Zion. Big area of Escalante!

Here is the photo I found on the web.

I will be going back to Utah in May. This will be my 5th trip there so I am hunting down the paths less traveled.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think they call it Tea pot rock.

Did you try the name on that website?

I've never heard of Teapot Rock, so now you've got me curious, too.

As far as out-of-the-way Utah, try the area between Zion and Coral Sand Dunes State Park. It's BLM land. Or try the land south of Bryce and northeast of Kanab. Lots of slot canyons and you can connect the "back way" to Kodachrome Basin State Park. I haven't explored either area much, but think they're pretty out of the way as far as crowds. I have a topo map for the BLM area between the dunes and Zion... got it at Kanab.

The guy who had the image on his website had this name for the formation.

There is a rock formation that is in the Maze area
of the Canyonlands with the same name, but
this is not it from what I have found out so far.

I emailed the guy and asked him where it was.
He wouldn't tell me!

Judging from the photos on this guys website,
he traveled in the Escalante area through Bryce
and on to Zion. Thats a lot of area. It could be
in or around Capital Reef. He told me that he road
with someone out to this place and that it was
the only point of interest in that area.
So its not in one of the National or State parks.

Thanks for your replies.

Do you have any gps co-ordianates for it? My topo software doesn't recognize fantasy canyon with a search.
