Al Swearengen cracks me up.

"Those c*cks*cking c*cks*ckers ..."

Wins the prize for most enterprising use of the term in one sentence.

Another hint!
Geobeet gets whacked at 10:59 PM on Sunday following the fourth episode for exposure of information!

Ahem, a cursory knowledge of history and the ability to read episode titles would lead anyone to the same conclusion. If they follow history, the scene is already set.

Geobeet gets whacked...Haroomph!

Don't go around taking your frustrations out over your wife pining away for the departed Lex on me!

the male frontal nudity was in the second episode, the brother of the guy who was killed at the end of the first episode busts into Swearingen's office, apparently he was called in while playing with one of the girls, holding his "tallywhacker."

Good episode, although I will miss Keith Carradine on this show. He was really good!
Treebeard

They did it accurately. Wild Bill always sat with his back to the wall in order to be able to see what was going on in the room, but this one time he didn't and Jack McCall made use of that.

Keith Carradine was indeed good and will be missed.

BTW, all the main characters are historical figures. Seth Bullock lived a very interesting life, eventually serving as a captain in the Rough Riders and being honored by Theodore Roosevelt. Al Swearengen lived, but I can't find a reference as to his character. The climate of fear is plausible, given the situation at the time.

Don't know whether Trixie is a real character or ficticious.

It's seems to be losing a little momentum to me, they need some more Clint Eastwood style gunfights..... now if they can get him to make a guest appearance as the Man with No Name.

Jeez guys, Wild Bill just got shot in the back of the head, the dude got pushed off a cliff and had his head bashed on a rock, several people have been stabbed and fed to the hawgs, two other people have been shot dead, all but one member of a family was hacked to death ... how many killings does it take to satisfy your blood lust?

Thank you, Al Swearengen, for the term hoopleheads. Describes a lot of people I have to deal with.
Geobeet

Gee, it is the other word he uses that describes people I had to deal with when I was in private practice.
chili36

Well he uses that other word as an adjective, so you have c******king hoopleheads, which is the absolute worst kind of hooplehead there is.

Lawyers and editors both have to deal with those kinds of people.

Maybe we could pair up and present a research paper on hoopleheads?
Geobeet

we got a few of those around here, too, guys!

Hey, the show is taking some interesting turns. I am so looking forward to the "formation of a government" scenario that they alluded to in the previews of next week's show...
Treebeard

The show is definitely on an upward swing, gets better with every episode, and Swearingen is actually growing on me. There's a scary thought for ya. He's an f'ing evil bastard, but I appreciate the fact that he's a pragmatic f'ing evil bastard.
Bison

I agree with you, Bison. Even Maple is starting to like him and she hated his character with a passion previously...
Treebeard

Swearengen may be the most interesting character of the show. I was thinking Bullock, and indeed he is complex enough to be interesting. But Swearengen really is interesting.

He has a heart, but he can't always seem to find it.

We look at him as ruthless, but folks had to be ruthless in that kind of setting.

The multi-layered personalities are simply fantastic. When they met, Swearengen seemed like the oaf and Cy the genteel guy. Now it's almost looking the other way around.
Geobeet

Cy is a nasty ass SOB. He and Al are neck and neck in the ruthlessness department...
Treebeard

That's a good point Geo, about the complexity of the characters, especially Swearengen, Big Kudos to the writers, he's one of the best written characters on TV.
Bison

The entire show is far and away among the best on TV. Historical authenticity, multi-layered characters, everything about the show is nailed down tight.

The other really great TV mini series was Band of Brothers.

HBO comes up with great stuff!

Probably one of the reasons you support rumsfeld as well.

I love this show! I was pretty amazed to see the two con artists get whacked this last time.

Rummy likes to play around with big ideas like transformation, I wouldn't say he's a great pragmatist.

With Swearengen you never know how he is going to react. Now Bullock is an open book. You always know how that good two-shoes c***s'ker is going to react.

Bullock may be a goody two-shoes #&%!$, but at least he's not a hooplehead.

That's not saying much. E.B. (for Bold) Farnum doesn't consider himself a hooplehead either.
