If you have questions...
ask the right person...that would be ME of course. I have all the data at my office on Deadwood, including a DVD of the entire first season...hahaha...It pays to work for Time Warner Cable.

I watched the last five or six episodes from last season to catch up on what went down. I realized in the rewatching that things happened pretty fast in those last four or five episodes. The last one was a virtual whirlwind. Cy trying an end run around Swearingen, the magistrate getting his throat sliced, Bullock beating the crap out of the widow's father, Swearingen smothering the preacher, Gen. Crook and troops making an appearance, Bullock and the widow having sex, Doc making the boot for Jewel, and Bullock taking the sheriff job. Did I miss anything? Jeez, tires me out just reading it.

Sounds like there will be cussing, killing, screwing, and lawbreaking.

What more could you want?

This is why HBO is illegal in Alabama.

Teaser from the website
A new day is dawning in Deadwood...

The spring of 1877 brings major changes to the teeming outlaw camp of Deadwood, as civilization makes its way to town. New arrivals will usher in an era of power struggles with the camp founders-and power struggles in Deadwood have a way of turning violent....

The HBO site has links to Deadwood people and history. All of these characters are based on real life people. The series generally follows historical events. Beyond that, it's all fiction.

They were fairly faithful to the Wild Bill shooting.

Now if they come up with a quote from the real Al Swearingen: c*cks*cking hoopleheads, I will be suitably impressed.

Or, as Wu says, "Two c*cks*ckah!"

I imagine Wu's pigs have developed quite an appetite from the long layoff. I wonder whether they'll get fed Sunday night.

Now, this was cool!!!

But, I wish I had the digital with me. Anyhow, I was just downstairs in the subway. There is a shuttle line that runs up and down 42nd Street from Grand Central to Times Square and back. The trains are only three cars long, as it is just a shuttle. They did up the whole train just for Deadwood.

As you enter, all the seats are (instead of the usual orange and white ones) done as if they are that old fashioned brown leather with the like colored buttons spaced through them. The walls are imaged in paneling, like you would see on the show. There is a life size image of Al Swearingen on the wall next to the conductor's cabin. There's posters of the new season all over the place, too. The ceiling is lined with the images of the ceiling in the Gem Saloon with the old fashioned circular lamps imprinted on them. There'a also large images of Mrs. Garrett, Trixie and a few other characters, as well. And the doors are done with the pictures of the wooden saloon doors and other outside scapes from the town.

EXTREME COOLNESS!!!
