“i have a care package waiting to be sent to Scott, but i've run into problems with the stupid postal system.
they tell me NO commercially prepared food of any sort through USPost without first being cleared on some gov't site. i have to wait to get a confirmation form in order to send the pkg through the mail.
what a hassle. i wonder if ups or fedex is easier?”

“Is your Canuckian postal system telling you that? It may be because of import issues. Most people in the U.S. just put whatever they want into a box and send it.”

“I don't think UPS or FedEx could deliver it anywhere he could get it unless he has a drop pickup at a business.”

he did what he needed to do to get ready for this. like anything anyone does, its a lesson in life that you learn.

Hold tight, there kiddies. Let the Tree's deal with some of this and let's not turn a well intentioned thang into a cluster phuck. We have all summer to fill his belly. I'm sure the later days of the hike, this kind of stuff will be a well welcomed moral booster.

I would suggest that in the meantime, if yer in the area where he's at, hike with him if ya can. That's a real good way to help support him!

ive been re-named on the trail twice now. i fell out of the old gnarly tree on springer summit, so the caretaker named me "FallsToGround". but when i arrived at hawk mt shelter for lunch, i was re-re-named "Crash!Bang!" in honor of my noisy entrance.

must get going. going to try to make it to siler bald shelter tonite. i am currently in franklin, nc, btw.
