It was great to see Tree, Maple and Maple-Tree sapling and Marko and Hurricane Janet again, and to meet Mr and Mrs Ski to whom I sent a Christmas ornament to, and also Jamie of the North and his "story" of the 3 bears. I couldn't hear what was being said across the Trail Talk circle with the din of the revelry. Great food and great friends, and especially great to meet Ped and Ellen who are such an inspiration in your battle against adversity. Thank-you for opening your hearts and home to all of us. Maybe I wasn't the only one feeling guilty about eating and drinking and leaving without helping to clean up. Hey, now Ped, you and Ellen can come on down to the Cape and squash cake on my kitchen floor and not feel like you're imposing!!”

“On Sunday, we went to the monument at Bunker Hill in Charlestown. My son, Miachael, wanted to see some sites, so Mark-O was good enough to stop here. We saw the diaramas in the museum and the other exhibits that they had and then climbed the 294 steps to the top of the monument. The pics are from the whole weekend: the party riding around and the monument. Hope you enjoy them...

I didn't look much at the labels of wine that people brought in, and Ellen didn't either. The Dream House wine was really a bottle of Charles Shaw (the best super cheap wine around, I buy a lot of it at Trader Joe's) - but someone made a label with the "after" picture that Ellen put on the invitation, it also had a really kind inscriprition on the label. Because of the way it was phrased, term "butt-kicking" I thought it was prolly a TT'er, but I guess I'm wrong. I didn't notice until I was putting everything away. I saw the Charles Shaw back label didn't match the front - so I did a double take and wondered if Shaw was using some new more artful label... then I realised someone was being very creative.

My pics from the party didn't come out so well, but I'll try to tweak them some and post them tonight or tomorrow.”

“I was very excited to finally see those ducks...it was an exhibit in honor of Robert McCloskey who received the Caldecott Medal for "Make Way For Ducklings" he penned in 1941. On page 3 of the book it says....When they got to Boston, they felt too tired to fly any further. There was a nice pond in the Public Garden, with a little island on it. "The very place to spend the night," quacked Mr. Mallard. So down they flapped.

Doesn't say anything about "Cheers" being right across the street”
