There sure was plenty to celebrate. =) I was there in spirit, hovering over the cake and bar, intermitantly.” 2:35:37 PM 5/09/05 “Glad to hear it was a good time. I toasted you Ped, from the wilds of West Virginia with Balvenie. You have no idea how happy we are to have you back in the midst of all the silliness.” 2:39:17 PM 5/09/05 “You missed a good cake, Sassafras. Maybe you should change your name to GeoBalvenie, mister.” 2:56:09 PM 5/09/05 “Hey, I stimulate Maryland's economy, buying that stuff at a liquor store along 220 between Cumberland and Keyser. Actually, I'm surprised at the variety of stuff they carry in that store.” 2:57:36 PM 5/09/05 “Maryland thanks you. What's up, they won't sell it to you in Pennsylvania?” 3:31:53 PM 5/09/05 “Oh, they sell it in Pennsylvania. It's just that I usually forget to pack it. I end up having two or three bottles going at a time.” 3:33:05 PM 5/09/05 “Do any of you know who gave me the "dream house" wine? The inscription seemed like something a TT'er would say.” 7:09:48 PM 5/09/05 “WS brought a bottle and I think that may have been it!” 9:36:38 PM 5/09/05 “Echo, echo, the above sentiment of Skiracer and Tree. It was great to see Tree, Maple and Maple-Tree sapling and Marko and Hurricane Janet again, and to meet Mr and Mrs Ski to whom I sent a Christmas ornament to, and also Jamie of the North and his "story" of the 3 bears. I couldn't hear what was being said across the Trail Talk circle with the din of the revelry. Great food and great friends, and especially great to meet Ped and Ellen who are such an inspiration in your battle against adversity. Thank-you for opening your hearts and home to all of us. Maybe I wasn't the only one feeling guilty about eating and drinking and leaving without helping to clean up. Hey, now Ped, you and Ellen can come on down to the Cape and squash cake on my kitchen floor and not feel like you're imposing!!” 9:48:41 PM 5/09/05 “Cape Cod was expecially pleasant with the howling wind and sideways rain. MarkO Um, it wasn't raining at the time you were SUPPOSED to be here at 3pm on Friday!! and you forgot headlamps(to see the Cape after dark, and rain coats)” 10:08:28 PM 5/09/05 “Well thanks WS for the bottle, was it the "dream house?"” 10:26:00 PM 5/09/05 “No Ped, I didn't bring the "Dream House" wine sorry. I brought a large bottle of australian shiraz, with a kangaroo on the bottle, and was empty before I left” 10:50:43 PM 5/09/05 “Wasn't me. I brought the bottle with the label White Horse.” 5:47:55 AM 5/10/05 “A kangaroo and a White Horse and don't forget the Three Bears.” 7:34:16 AM 5/10/05 “teehee three bears. sureeeee” 7:42:37 AM 5/10/05 “Yeah, maybe The Three Stooges” 7:43:53 AM 5/10/05 Pics Are Up “On Sunday, we went to the monument at Bunker Hill in Charlestown. My son, Miachael, wanted to see some sites, so Mark-O was good enough to stop here. We saw the diaramas in the museum and the other exhibits that they had and then climbed the 294 steps to the top of the monument. The pics are from the whole weekend: the party riding around and the monument. Hope you enjoy them... http://community.webshots.com/album/341636884mafAtX” 9:01:50 AM 5/10/05 “Great pics! Looks like a good time was had by all.” 9:11:11 AM 5/10/05 “I think Boston could use a few more statues though.” 9:11:27 AM 5/10/05 “They're erecting one of Mark-O in that prone position, Bit! :)” 9:12:13 AM 5/10/05 “Good idea!” 9:14:00 AM 5/10/05 “Prone to what?” 9:14:16 AM 5/10/05 “Prone to horizontal living?” 9:16:50 AM 5/10/05 “MarkO has an erection?” 9:19:21 AM 5/10/05 “awww, aren't you guys cute. nice pics, looks like everyone had a good time! :-)” 9:23:49 AM 5/10/05 “"horizontal living" ?? I do like to broaden my horizons.” 9:26:17 AM 5/10/05 “See, just say the word erection and within 5 minutes, look who shows her face. LOL! Hey Monkey Girl!” 9:31:37 AM 5/10/05 “look who "pops up," you mean? :-D hi Nigal! did you enjoy your month off TT? dhutch started an "I'm Miss Nigal" tread...or something like that.” 9:33:25 AM 5/10/05 “It was a nice rest. Yeah D's gonna be missin' me even more since she's moving even FURTHER away from me. [sniffing arm pits to see if I stink]” 9:37:33 AM 5/10/05 “Oh, there's a Miss Nigal 'round here??” 9:38:28 AM 5/10/05 “So??? do ya stink or not??” 9:39:18 AM 5/10/05 “No and there never will be. This is my safe place. Fun Nigal and Relationship Nigal can never come in contact. You don't want to kill Fun Nigal do you?” 9:40:12 AM 5/10/05 “"do ya stink or not??" This all depends where yer sniffen friend. (l)” 9:42:04 AM 5/10/05 “"dhutch started an "I'm Miss Nigal" tread...or something like that.” lyra 9:33:25 AM 5/10/05 So, are you Miss Nigal or what?” 9:54:42 AM 5/10/05 “Both. I'm Hermaphodite Nigal.” 9:56:44 AM 5/10/05 “Don't ya just hate shaving your legs?” 9:58:51 AM 5/10/05 “Thanks for the pics Tree. Thanks also for the wine Ski. I didn't look much at the labels of wine that people brought in, and Ellen didn't either. The Dream House wine was really a bottle of Charles Shaw (the best super cheap wine around, I buy a lot of it at Trader Joe's) - but someone made a label with the "after" picture that Ellen put on the invitation, it also had a really kind inscriprition on the label. Because of the way it was phrased, term "butt-kicking" I thought it was prolly a TT'er, but I guess I'm wrong. I didn't notice until I was putting everything away. I saw the Charles Shaw back label didn't match the front - so I did a double take and wondered if Shaw was using some new more artful label... then I realised someone was being very creative. last edited: 5/10/05 12:35:46 PM” 12:35:15 PM 5/10/05 “Not all the pics fit in that album, Ped. There were a few of your other guests that were not included here. I gave priority ont he TT board to the TTer's, for obvious reasons. How about if I mail you a disk with everything on it and you can view and select from within that?” 1:33:33 PM 5/10/05 “Wow Treebeard! Not only did you meet that Churchill guy but ya shot 'em too! http://community.webshots.com/photo/342444237/342444237DBEUgu Looks like ya all had a great time! :)” 1:39:49 PM 5/10/05 “Yeah, man! I won the Battle of Bunker Hill!” 1:44:22 PM 5/10/05 “LOL I love the sign behind them pretty fitting for these two hippies!” 2:12:50 PM 5/10/05 “Sounds good to me Mr. Tree!” 3:13:09 PM 5/10/05 “Churchill.......huh???” 3:28:26 PM 5/10/05 “Ward Churchill. Having seen both your pictures I solidly believe you and he are one in the same. LOL! It's a joke btw.” 3:34:49 PM 5/10/05 Had to look “Ward Churchill: ”3:51:51 PM 5/10/05 a bit more accurate “ ![]() This one looks like he's one of the Ramones... ”3:55:34 PM 5/10/05 “Great pics, tree folk! Loved the Bunker Hill pics. I gotta check out Boston more. It has a really neat history. My pics from the party didn't come out so well, but I'll try to tweak them some and post them tonight or tomorrow.” 5:17:22 PM 5/10/05 “My favorite was the quack patrol!!” 9:20:40 PM 5/10/05 “I was very excited to finally see those ducks...it was an exhibit in honor of Robert McCloskey who received the Caldecott Medal for "Make Way For Ducklings" he penned in 1941. On page 3 of the book it says....When they got to Boston, they felt too tired to fly any further. There was a nice pond in the Public Garden, with a little island on it. "The very place to spend the night," quacked Mr. Mallard. So down they flapped. Doesn't say anything about "Cheers" being right across the street” 10:33:41 PM 5/10/05 “i missed that book along the way. I'll have to borrow someone else's kids to read any more children's books now.” 12:27:32 AM 5/11/05 Jump to Page << prev
