So I wanted to meet up with Clem35yeah for a dayhike in Linville Gorge. We decide to meet at around 10 in the morning. I got there at 9. (always early). I waited until 10:30 at the main ranger station parking lot. No Clem to be seen.

Meet a large group form the CHOA site.

They wanted to hike Babel tower, part of Linville gorge trail and camp right before Sandy Flats Trail. I already hiked both trails so I wasn't sure if I should join them, but decide to do so anyway.

We hiked down babel tower, and just like they said continued on to Linville Gorge trail. some of them camped before sandy flats trail. Oh, if you hiked the Linville Gorge trail before...you probably remember that narrow crossing. Well, it's not as narrow anymore. Someone also tied a parachute rope to a tree, so it is much easier to cross it now then it used to be. Kind a took the challange out of it though. Anyway, we then continued to the river crossing. There is one big square rock in the river. You can cross the river via a small log bridge that someone must've build at one time or nother.

At around 2 o'clock we thought it's probably a good idea to start hiking back to the parking lot. We said our good-byes to the backpackers and run up the trail.
LOL Clem...I sure missed your slow a$$ right there. :)

Got to the parking lot around 4:30 or so. I am really not sure anymore. I thought it was right before it got dark, but for some reason 4:30 stuck in my mind.

The finished the hike with a celebration at FATZ's. Like a good girl I ate a salad. Ohhh...I and I drank a purple shooter hooter, or whatever you call it. BINKS...it wasn't as good as yours. It's time you join us on a hike. I miss the purple hooter shooters. :)

Well, I just got a message from Clem (Rox) she was there, but we waited at different parking lots. Sorry we couln't hike together. Next time leave me a message on my car damit!! so at least I don't have to curse you out on my way home. heeheehee. I got home at around 12:30 at night.

Had a great...no! make that a terrific time. The trail kicked my butt, but it was sooooo much fun.

tsss, that's the first hike I did not take any pictures. Well, I have one picture from babeltower. Ya know the view down to the river. That's it. Nothing else.

Charlotte Outdoor Adventure. Yeah, I feel bad about the pictures, but I didn't wanted to take them again. Just like I said, I did hike exactelly the same trails before. No need for pics. I could've taken some pictures of the group, true...but by then I already had my camera way down there in my pack.
