Well I am back and walked into a house full of people. My wfe had frends over for dinner. Course I walked in smelling like I hadn't showered in 5 days. Oh thats right I hadn't.

Twigeater - thank you so much for arranging the trip, letting us stay at your place, and having me along.

Peensy - thanks a bunch for picking me up in Portland and taking me back.

LtHiker - thanks a bunch for driving us from Twigeaters place to the park. It was also great to finally meet you.

Skiracer, Monkeyboy, Skeetahbait - great seeing and hiking with you guys again. I always enjoy your company.

Just went through the reports and pics. Twiggie's trip reports tell it nicely.

Just a few personal notes:
- Dysart's breakfasts kick arse, and are almost as good as the Augusta House of Pancakes.

- Packing some weight in a backpack as opposed to hauling it all in a sled seems to work very well and efficiently. However, it should be noticed I had much less gear, goodies, etc. since I flew in and was limited. Furthermore, I've only hiked with a fully loaded gearsled once before. Still, it seemed to work well.

- Baxter State Park is simply incredible. Around every corner there's something exceptional to see, including waterfalls, mountain views, pristine lakes and rivers, wildlife, and animal tracks.

- Boxed Chianti is evil.

- Monkeyboy and Skeetahbait's chili is extremely tasty, but produces an expected after-effect almost too well.

Okay, most memorable part of the trip, I'd have to say WAR, WAR, WAR!!! Can't believe a bunch of us adult KIDS could have sooo much fun playing such an old game. And BTW, for the only one person who had never played this game looked like they just had a whole lotta fun playing it. :)

It was good to meet more TT'ers on this trip, as well as re-aquaint ourselves with ones we already met. Really enjoy meeting new people and the comraderie that goes along with it all. As usual Twigeater sets up great trips that we always enjoy going on.

Peensy, always provides great pictures as well as good laughs.

Artex, is pretty funny with his new mouth noises and antics.

Skiracer, looking forward to skiing next winter in NH.

Lthiker, coming along with us skiing?

Twigeater, you know MB and I look forward to your trips....Hike Maine III. I absolutely love Baxter, it's such a peaceful place. If I could retire tomorrow, I think I'd practically live there.

Now I must say, I know how much everyone enjoyed the chilli, but no more!!! I think there was enough gas in that cabin we coulda blown the roof off.

“Wow, you folks are fast. Doesn't anybody work? LOL! So far, I've only managed to unload my car and y'all have pics up already. I've just skimmed them so far and from what I've seen, the pics look great. I guess I won't bother to post mine.

A few more tidbits before I start unpacking:
I'm still wondering what made Artex toss his cookies, the mega dosage of Chianti or the surprise I laid on him when I picked him up at the airport. As soon as he sat in my car, I cranked up ABBA's Greatest Hits, and I swear I've never heard a grown man scream and cry so loud. Of course all the credit goes to Yam who mailed me the CD. Did you know that ABBA stands for Artex Better e Aappreciative?

Thanks to Lt and Ski for doing all the driving from Twiggy's to Baxter, and of course a big thanks to Twiggy for putting us up and putting up with us Wednesday night. What a blast!
