COOOOOOOOKKKKKKIEEEEEEEEEE!” 10:26:39 AM 3/30/04 “"cachet", is that like a perfume?” 10:31:09 AM 3/30/04 “yes, I need to start working on my own formula” 10:35:45 AM 3/30/04 “I often caught "Letter from America" on the Beeb. Very interesting show, and interesting takes on American culture. For those who think of "Masterpiece Theater" as Alistair's best work, "Letter from America" was a combination of travelogue and social commentary, delivered with Cooke's sometimes dry, but droll wit. It was clearly his best work. Terry Gross recently aired an interview with one of his producers on "Fresh Air" on NPR on the occasion of the airing of the last "Letter." They played excerpts from a few of his programs, and they were wonderful.” 8:01:51 AM 3/31/04 “So what did you think of Monsterpiece Theatre, Geobeet?” 10:32:32 AM 3/31/04 “I liked the spoof Dan Ackroyd did on SNL. What did they call that... ?” 10:48:11 AM 3/31/04
