Help finding Vasque Sundowner made in Italy
I’m desperately searching for a pair of model # 7535 Vasque Sundowners! I have been wearing the same pair almost every day for the past 10 years. I decided that it was time for a new pair, but I cannot find the originals. I have read very poor reviews of the new sundowners made in China. Please someone tell me that there is a pair of 71/2 M Vasque Sundowner model # 7535 somewhere out there!

Hold out if you want a pair of sundownwers! I've seen too many of the new ones explode! I was a Vasque fanatic, haven't owned a pair in years.

I've worn out two pairs of Sundowners and bought a pair of Vasque whatever the hecks made in China from Sierra Trading Post. I have worn them a few times to work in snowy weather and at the very cold Army-Navy game in December. They feel quite comfortable. Having said that, I have not worn them on the trail yet and won't for most of this year, at least until I have them broken in a bit better. But they seem pretty well made.

I bought a pair of the MX2, because of the China scare. I have worn them quite a bit, but for some reason I keep pulling out the old patched up, broke down, originals.

Cabela's has a boot made in Italy called the All-Leather Mountain Hiker for $140.

So far, so good........

My Chinese pair has not blown yet. One of those boots got damaged when the luggage conveyer got hold of a strap on a bag. The bag and other items got destroyed and this one boot got a 'shaving' on the outside of the boot by the 'ball area'. Right where the leather and rubber meet, about 5" long 1/4 wide, shaved to suede.

Got $190 from them and kept on hiking.
