i got an inline from Safewater Anywhere. it's a bit tough to suck through it at first, but it seems to "loosen up" a little over time. it's still a little rough sucking down water on an uphill, though.
for ease of use, you can't go wrong. just fill and go.

I have never seen one of these before, how much does it weigh? Let me know if it works well for you, I may have to get me one.

BigRob, I just bought the filter itself. It weighs 4ounces I think.

Thanks for the info ductape,I bought it for racing. Last year I coulda used one for sure. BTW I am racing sorta near you in June. South of Chilicothe at Paint creek. Some others TTers are coming down to hang out and camp and watch. If you're free come on by and join us. The race is june 26th (saturday) we will be down thursday night and stay through sunday A.M.

I have been using the inline filter for the past year. I use in combination with Aqua Mira drops. When I'm on the trail, I just have to fill the bladder and I'm good to go but when I'm in camp, I like to treat all the water I'm likely to use with the drops.

Three draw backs to the inline filter are that you can't drink juices or Gatoraide from your bladder through the filter, the filter itself requires a fair amount if suction to draw the water through, and it's not the best solution for treating a great volume of water fast.

The drops take care of the third problem, you getr used to the slow flow rate, and carrying a spare bladder hose (taking the filter off the hose is too much trouble) takes care of the juice issue.
