Also I really don't fit my family at all. Hardly anything in common with any of them.
They don't understand why I enjoy backpacking for a weekend let alone for a week or more with no conveniences.
I was told recently that I was pretty liberal minded for someone my age.
Not sure that was a compliment.”

I dunn know...I think if I die people will say her urge for adventure would've killed her, but thank god she had a family that she loved, so she lived a long and happy life. The heartache came at the age of 99 while hiking the last 5 miles of the AT.

Don't know if I'll be remembered. They'll probably just refer to me as "that crazy bird girl."”

“dont know what im known for...probably how clean my truck is 99% of the time...call it obsessive compulsive i call it shiny...i can also jump over a broom while holding my toes without letting go...hiking incredibly slow...learning techniques for spraying pretty damn fast...taking next to nothing in my backpack while out for a weekender...smart ass, dry sense of humor, and being a wonderful womanizer until i piss them off and have them run away...such as my wife is in the process of doing for the last week...”
