So The Lorax went on this trip and he hasn't been converted to TT yet? Nah, he must be abandoning the other site as we speak.

Those do indeed look like black walnuts. Black walnuts have a round husk, while butternuts have an oblong (or oval) husk. Both are pretty much the same thing; they just look different.

They're nice trees, but the squirrels will rob ya blind.

The husks will stain your skin. The Confederates used butternut husks to dye their uniforms.

Good times, great people
It was awesome...although I was a little disappointed with the fact that Liz didn't write about my elegant and graceful exit from my Hennesy in the morning. It was kind of like when a mama cow is having a rough time with a livebirth, but without the farmers helping hand. Dam near died, but that is the way of nature.

The Lorax, if you hang around here expect to meet more good people and have many more good times.

Now you must tell us how you got your trail name...and if you made it yourself we'll have to get you a new one that has something to do with being birthed from a cow...

Trail name
I was given it by a friend because of my work...guess you gotta read the book. I've had the name for years.

Having grown up raising cows and birthing calves I've got a couple ideas, but they conjure up some pretty disgusting images. Naahhh, don't think so. Calfgosplat and Moosplat are way better.
