“I like my Byer hammock, even tho it can's be used for camo, or a dipnet, or a dunk bag, at least it can be used for sleeping. And that's what it is great for. And at $19.95 and 11 oz. it is a better deal IMHO. byer hammock”

“If it's smaller, it's weaker and/or less durable. The classic been-around-forever mesh hammock doesn't have spreader bars, and packs to roughly softball size, probably a little larger, depending on quality.

I guess your hammock mesh is more versatile, but I haven't come across a situation where I thought "gee, I wish I had a net that could double as a hammock."”

“well, I've been using my original for over 10 years now..it's just for hanging around camp and on the trail..not for overnight sleeping..the picture is rather mis-leading..it is just a green, nylon mesh hammock with rings at each end attached to green, nylon hanging rope..pretty simple..I do not like white hammocks..if you do then you're lucky as they're easy to find..”
