I know there's plans out there to build suppressors, but has anyone had any experience making a pvc-pipe suppressor actually work and last for at least 5 - 10 bricks?

by suppressor, you mean sound muffler? now that would be kind of helpful to plunkers who like to backpack wouldn't it?

Federal crime, Muttley.

Could be a long 10 years for actually doing it... maybe more, now. Just attempting to make or obtain one could get you a conspiracy conviction.

And there's no parole in the Federal System aaaaaanymoooooore.

Sweet dreams.

Damn. I guess I wasted my money on my ruger thigh holsters, then. I had a system going. It was groovy.

If you are convicted, you can't vote, hold office, and can't get many jobs when you get out. Your actual time in would be between 1 and 2 years if you have no prior background, and it's not worth it.

Can't you use CB's or is it strictly LR?

If I gave up any of the secrets I know I would have to,,,ahhh you get the picture.

Have you research the pressure your 22lr makes and what the PVC will handle?

I heard that a cut off baby bottle nipple works with 22's.

Hey, give it a shot!

I can't imagine why anyone would want to do it though.

.22LR breaks the sound barrier and so suppression is debatable. Proffessional assissins would use .22S on a High Standard .22 auto and put it up against the ear (rarely their own).

So I wonder how well the FBI data mining internet program is working. I imagine Mutt will get his "courtesy call" shortly.

Birch:
FBI wouldn't touch it.
ATF would get their jollies with a case this easy.

You'd like that, wouldn't, you birch. Christofascists are always wanting to see their enemies burn in hell.

By the way, in a lot of states it is legal to purchase and/or make suppressors if you acquire the proper license and pay a $200 tax. Unfortch, Missouri is not one of those states. *sigh* Ah well, I don't have a 10/22 anymore anyway.

Mutt, now why would you think you were my enemy? I dont even know you. Good luck with the suppressor though.

signed, the christofascist.

Make It...Get Your Jollies...Then Destroy It
Ya know, the thing may be illegal, but you won't get in trouble for making/having it until you're caught with it.
