God (if you recognize God) forbid that someone should have a differing opinion from you and actually have the temerity to make such views public. Protect us from anyone who is SOOO humorless as to not see the pearls of wisdom dripping from your views, or the views of anyone who shares your views. and you call me humorless, get a life Dude.” 2:12:34 PM 10/21/04 “manuka...someone posts about a poll taken by Nickalodeon and you start in on Democrats having more children, yadda yadda. LMAO. Look nutbag, I can't tell with you. Trying to discern between sarcasm and serious comments with you is impossible. You come across as an arrogant, know-it-all jerk with the sense of humor of a bagel. Look at your response. Sheeesh!! Yeah....humorless....thin-skinned too. LOL!” 4:08:52 PM 10/21/04 “Hey Manuka, reread my post, put your wounded pride aside, and see if there isn't a little humor in it. BTW, you're a crybaby.” 4:26:41 PM 10/21/04 “V- please report to the TT virtual duel thread and put your money where your mouth is. LOL! No kidding - come on mister 99% Kerry victory! This is your chance to make up for your racist gaffe earlier.” 4:34:57 PM 10/21/04 “I voted yesterday! I want to thank all the republicans on this board who donated to the republican party in this years election. Your beautiful, 3 colorful, glossy mailer, detailing all the republican endorsed candidates was a very useful tool to pick who NOT to vote for! As a bonus, I actually used the brochure to keep our environment clean by removing some dog doo from my neighbor's tree lawn. I had to laugh, thinking it was probably the only nickel of republican money used to help clean up the environment in decades!” 8:19:14 PM 10/21/04 “manuka, you forgot one with the sense of humor of a bagel That was the best one. You can't leave it out. BTW, I thought Manuka was dog food ; )” 8:40:30 PM 10/21/04 “I just wiped the tears from my eyes after a good laugh after reading that stuff. Thanks...it's a gloomy, rainy morning here and I needed that boost. Nice flowers buddy. Nice. I will not kid around with you anymore that's for sure. Any guy man enough to name himself after some pink flowers is got to be the man.” 7:17:38 AM 10/22/04 Kerry in a landslide, baby! “GOP officials who talked to Bush-Cheney campaign leaders said the leaders have grown more worried about Ohio, Florida and other key states where Bush lacks a lead with just 10 days until the election. A poll by Ohio University's Scripps Survey Research Center, completed Thursday night, found Kerry leading 49 percent to 43 percent among registered voters, with a margin of error of five percentage points. Sen. Pete V. Domenici (R-N.M.), campaigning with Vice President Cheney in northwestern New Mexico, told the crowd that the GOP ticket will lose the state without a lopsided local victory in San Juan County, because of heavy Democratic activity elsewhere in the state. "Without a huge margin in this county . . . we can't win this election," he said. One Republican official described the mood at the top of the campaign as apprehensive. " 'Grim' is too strong," the official said. "If we feel this way a week from now, that will be grim." <snip> The Republican official said polling for Bush showed him in a weaker position than some published polls have indicated, both nationally and in battlegrounds. In many of the key states, the official said, Bush is below 50 percent, and he is ahead or behind within the margin of sampling error -- a statistical tie. "There's just no place where they're polling outside the margin of error so they can say, 'We have this state,' " the official said. "And they know that an incumbent needs to be outside the margin of error." <snip> WaPo” 10:09:32 AM 10/25/04 Kerry in a landslide, baby! “In Florida, 30% of registered voters said they already had cast their ballots, using early voting sites and absentee ballots. They supported Kerry 51%-43%. Twenty-seven percent of Iowa adults surveyed said they had already voted. Kerry leads Bush, 52 percent to 41 percent, among that group of early-bird voters.” 5:15:49 PM 11/01/04 “The base is smokin' out here in Ohio. I'll be shuttling lawyers from out of town to various HQ's. I doubt we'll need them though, because two federal judges ruled that the GOP can't intimidate and chllange voters at the polls. Anyway, there is a huge spotlight out here. Kerry is in town, again, tonight. I've seen him so many times, it's old hat already. My prediction, Ohio to Kerry 51% - 48%. Kerry wins popular vote by 2 million. Kerry wins presidency by at least 20 electoral votes. Adios, get out and vote my fellow TT'rs (except the repubs in Ohio of course. , lol!)” 5:44:44 PM 11/01/04 “"The Democratic National Committee is making fraudulent phone calls claiming that I have endorsed Senator Kerry. Nothing could be further from the truth, and I demand that they stop immediately. Senator Kerry opposed the Reagan defense build-up that won the Cold War. Senator Kerry opposed the removal of Saddam Hussein from Kuwait. Senator Kerry proposed billions in intelligence cuts after the first attack on the World Trade Center. Senator Kerry voted against funds to equip our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan with supplies like body armor and ammunition. I am supporting President Bush for reelection, because he is the candidate who has demonstrated the conviction needed to defeat terrorism. In contrast to the President's steadfast determination to defeat our enemies, Senator Kerry has a record of weakness that gives me no confidence in his ability to fight and win the War on Terror. His attempt to make up for these deficiencies by falsifying my endorsement only confirms my impression that he is not the man we need to lead our nation." - General H. Norman Schwarzkopf” 5:45:25 PM 11/01/04 “And all the kings horses, and all the kings men, couldn't put Bushie together again.” 5:47:05 PM 11/01/04 “I don't know that he has that much to worry about when the opposition has to feel it has to flat out lie about who Schwarzkopf is backing. BTW Nice of slate to have their electoral analysis at 269-269. We may all be up pretty darn late tommorow night.” 5:51:20 PM 11/01/04 “I'm looking forward to it. I love this stuff!” 5:53:29 PM 11/01/04 “Yeah, I'm a junky myself. Part of me want's it to be over quick and Bush to win decisively. But another part of me wants a full night of intricate political analysis.” 5:55:58 PM 11/01/04 “This has been such a FUN election. I'm kind of bummed it's going to end tomorrow - maybe. It'll suck big time if Bush wins, but I really do think that Kerry is going to pull it out. But I have to say that we've got to support whoever wins with the Iraq policy. That January election will be more important than this one.” 6:47:54 PM 11/01/04 “Hard to believe that the DNC would put out phone calls that lie that blatantly - but whoever is lying about Schwarzkopf is a butt.” 8:44:38 PM 11/01/04 “I find it real hard to believe that bison of all people got this phone call. If others (known indies) on this board chime in and say the same thing, I would have a better time agreeing with it, but at this point, I see this as a last minute smear by bison to swing votes. Kinda sucks when ya have to resort ot lying about stuff.....” 9:20:59 PM 11/01/04 “Of 23 polls taken in the last month 15 Bush win 5 Draw 3 Kerry win Good variety of sources. I wonder how many people will be calling in sick or drunk tomorrow morning.” 1:19:41 PM 11/02/04 “Laqtis - I didn't get such a call and didn't claim to. The fact that the calls were made and that Schwarzkopf put out a statement were widely reported in the mainstream media.” 1:26:47 PM 11/02/04 “My bad about you getting htephone call, but I've looked around and can't find what you claim. I haven't watched the tube really at all, but there is nothing that I can find on CNN or Fox” 1:32:10 PM 11/02/04 For the record “I haven't found any of Bison's claims made throughout the day.” 1:42:45 PM 11/02/04 “I got no results on a google news search either.” 1:45:40 PM 11/02/04 “I guess I get the position of Bison's fractured fact checker today. Democrats accuse RNC of Election Eve 'dirty tricks' November 1 - WASHINGTON - On Monday, the Republican National Committee tried to falsely accuse the Democratic National Committee of claiming the endorsement of General Schwarzkopf. In fact, the RNC spliced a DNC recorded telephone call by General Merrill "Tony" McPeak, urging voters to vote for John Kerry, and attempted to peddle the doctored audio file to the press. General McPeak’s recorded telephone call is available for download at: http://a9.g.akamai.net/7/9/8082/v003/democratic1.download.akamai.com/8082/audio/20041101_mcpeak.wav last edited: 11/02/04 2:13:29 PM” 2:12:35 PM 11/02/04 “LIARRRRR!!!” 2:24:35 PM 11/02/04 “Let's add the fact that it just came down the pipe that the claim of votes planted on those machines was bunk as well. Damn! Two for two!” 2:41:31 PM 11/02/04 “Italics suck.” 2:42:13 PM 11/02/04 “I already debunked that one on the TT Election Night Party thread, laqtis. Bison reeks of desperation.” 2:46:37 PM 11/02/04 “Sorry, Vi! Too many threads to keep up wid!” 2:51:01 PM 11/02/04 “Looks like the Democrats have decided even with their lies and vandolism the can't when at the polls so they are already heading for the courts.” 2:55:11 PM 11/02/04 “No problem, laqtis. I feel a little silly trying to take credit. Here are some very early exit polls. Keep in mind that early polls tend to trend Republican for demographic reasons. "Keep in mind that early polls tend to trend Republican for demographic reasons." Good luck with that one, the 2000 early exits had Gore with leads in states that he lost handily.” 2:59:33 PM 11/02/04 “The DNC backs one lie with another, and you call the other side desperate, jeez.” 3:03:07 PM 11/02/04 “Hey Bison !!!
